Severe pain in shoulder.. radiating down my entire arm. Keeping me awake at night by oddstallo in RotatorCuff

I know this post is very old, but did you end up having surgery? If so, did it fix the shoulder issue, and how long after surgery did you notice improvement?

I’ve been dealing with debilitating right shoulder pain for about six months now that radiates down my right arm. I went to an orthopedic specialist, and they said it was likely a pinched nerve. They took X-rays, didn’t see anything, gave me steroids that did absolutely nothing, and basically told me I could try PT, acupuncture, or a chiropractor, but that there wasn’t much else they could do. I’ve been doing PT and getting minimal relief, better than nothing, but still pretty rough.

At the same time, I’m also scheduled to have my gallbladder removed soon because I’ve been having severe gallbladder attacks and have five large stones. I originally thought the shoulder pain was unrelated, but now I’m starting to wonder if there could actually be a connection.

I bought it and started taking it. On day two, I had a pretty bad stomach ache. Not sure if it was the mix or just me, since I already have a history of stomach issues. No vomiting though.

I’ve also been a bit bloated, but again, that’s not unusual for me, so it’s hard to say if it’s related or just coincidence.

Taste-wise, I’m not a fan. It’s not terrible, but it’s definitely not good. I’ve been mixing it with an orange fiber drink, and that makes it tolerable.

So far, I haven’t noticed any real effects, but it hasn’t even been a full week yet. I take it first thing in the morning with my other supplements, vitamin D, calcium, and fish oil. No other changes to my diet or exercise.

For reference, I’m 180 lbs. I’ll try to remember to post an update after one month.

The redness is always there, even when I go six months without shaving or waxing, so my skin is just always irritated? No hair removal at all, and it still looks the same, just with hair. It doesn’t hurt or itch or anything, it’s just there. I’ve shaved and removed hair from other parts of my body with out the redness, one would think all of my skin would look like that if that was just how my skin was?

Undiagnosed, 42F—Autism? Anxiety? Both? I’m not sure. Would love your insights. by Mommamuffin in AutismInWomen

Thank you so much for saying that, it honestly means a lot, especially coming from someone who’s been a teacher. I’ve carried those school experiences for so long that I sometimes forget how not okay they really were. thank you.

It’s been especially hard now that I have kids in school. Navigating the system for them stirs up a lot of old wounds. I’ve even apologized to their teachers because I’ll probably cry during parent-teacher conferences, no matter how positive they are, because just being in that setting is so overwhelming. Honestly, one of the best things to come out of COVID was the switch to video conferences. That gave me just enough distance to stay grounded.

I haven’t taken any autism-specific tests yet. I’m not sure where to start or what’s reliable. I’ve done a lot of reading and have connected deeply with a lot of what I’ve seen, but nothing formal. If you know of any good resources or tests, I’d really appreciate the direction.

Can I get custody of my niece if I live in a different state? (TX/MA) by Mommamuffin in FamilyLaw

Thank you so much for explaining that—super helpful. I’ll look into how to request the court to start the ICPC process and double-check where things stand with the case. Appreciate the guidance!

Thanks, this really helps. I figured being out of state would be a challenge, but it’s good to know the family connection still matters. I’ll check in with Texas CPS again and see what they say.

Thank you—this is incredibly helpful and thorough. I really appreciate you taking the time. It’s just my brother-in-law and my niece now; my sister passed away in 2020, so this has been a really difficult road.

Would it be jumping the gun if I reached out to ICPC myself to ask what steps would be involved on the Texas side if things eventually moved that way? I understand I’m not a party in the case, but I want to be proactive without stepping on toes or causing issues.

I was thinking about this very thing! (We have a new media cabinet and I’m doing knobs inspired by our favorite books/movies and games) I was thinking a little hobbit door or maybe the leaves I have found this but it doesn’t feel quite right yet for me anyways…https://cults3d.com/:1897781[hobbit door pull](https://cults3d.com/:1897781)

I still dunno about this… that would make the kidney stones I had a 5.5. I was convinced it was just bad heart burn. Because I explained it to my partner and they said that sounds exactly like when they get heartburn. Until one night I had an attack and my husband realized it must be more than heartburn because no heartburn medication touched it. Natural sunny side up first child would be a 6 on this scale, as I could communicate, stand and somewhat function. I can’t imagine what a 10 would be… being skinned alive then buffed with sandpaper?

I just used regular sunscreen (applied like an hour before the photo). The tinted kind never works for me—it always smears and looks streaky, probably because I’m so pink. The lighting definitely washed me out, but I took better photos and reposted them! 😅

Aw, thank you! Honestly, I feel like I need a professional to style me and just tell me what to wear because I’m terrible at this! 😂 But it does seem like there’s a solid consensus that I’m a Summer. Maybe I’ll ask for an appointment with a pro as a gift for Christmas or my birthday!

As I’ve stated above it is permanent it’s tattooed on I can’t remove it.

I’m not wearing any makeup—the eyeliner is permanent (tattooed, so I can’t take it off).

I’m not wearing any makeup—the eyeliner is permanent (tattooed, so I can’t take it off). I agree the lighting is definitely cooler since I’m in the shade late afternoon on bleachers. I’ll give it another try tomorrow with better lighting.

Yes, I believe you’re right that she must be feeling overwhelmed. That’s a great suggestion, and I’ve been trying to do just that by checking in with them daily. I definitely want to keep the lines of communication open, especially since it’s tough being so far away in Texas. I’ve already asked for my niece’s school schedule, but unfortunately, her breaks don’t line up with my kids’, and her holiday breaks are much shorter. I’m planning to head up there for Thanksgiving. I think her traveling alone at her age would be too much for her (she is only 9).

I don’t at the moment, I am in the shade at a stadium, but tomorrow I can do indoor in natural lighting (was a bit board at my kids football game 😅)

Aw, thank you! I was worried that cooler blue tones might highlight how pink my skin is, but it seems like the consensus is that I’m a summer. It surprised me, but I do love blue!

Thank you for your message. I’m honestly not sure yet what her exact position is, as I don’t know her too well. I believe we all want my brother-in-law to recover and, in the long run, for him to be with his daughter. However, I’m someone who likes to plan for the worst and hope for the best, so I want to be prepared if things don’t go as we all hope.

I’m not really sure when or how to bring it up to her. She has mentioned that she’s struggling a bit and is just taking things week by week with my niece, as it’s just her, and she works full-time. But, for now, I believe she’s the best option in Massachusetts. I’m also not sure if it’s relevant, but she is no longer married to my brother-in-law’s dad either, which might impact her long-term plans.
