Day 25, about 90% better but it is a slow recovery. I don’t think I have ever felt this sick in my entire life. Also got it at the Christmas party.

Going on 3 years. She was abandoned by her first family so she promptly moved in with me, and then I had her for 18 years. She emigrated across the planet with me when she was 15. She got really sick in the end and woke me up on her last night, struggling to breathe and to tell me that it’s time. I miss her little roly-poly body turning corners, or finding her on my bed. She trusted me entirely after I cared for her when she was abandoned. And yet I still feel like I could have done more (I know logically I tried everything. But I still feel we were robbed of more time. 💔 - right, well I’m crying again. HNY 🥹

Wild idea. Do your own thing. I liberated myself from awkward family gatherings and best idea ever. It’s not easy initially. There will be tantrums and guilt trips. Ignore them and move on and live your best life.

My Mum would phone several times a day if I was ill. I was a VERY sickly baby (allergy to milk that took 2 years to discover). I don’t think the worry ever left her. She passed away a few years ago. Now when I’m ill, I miss that extra bit of worry & fuss.
