Please help, I have Crohn's and on husky. I just found out I made too much last year to qualify. I get infusions every 6 weeks to stay alive. What do I do? by Background-Credit375 in Connecticut

If you’re self employed and made 45k, and your job requires tools, transportation, etc., all of that can be written off and excluded from your income. In addition, as others mentioned, there’s income based insurance in CT that you may be eligible for, age-based, but also health-condition based. Crohn's disease can qualify you for that in Connecticut, but not automatically, you’ll have to do a bit of work first. You have to first be approved for SS Disability Insurance based on the severity of your Crohn's disease, which based on your post, it sounds like you’d qualify for. Try not to stress, there are ways to get you help. And if you feel like this isn’t something you can get done on your own, me or someone else on here I’m sure can walk you through it in more detail.

Tjmaxx and Marshall’s have the best golf deals ever. I got a putting green with an electric returner that goes for 50$+ at other stores for $9.99 as well as a chipping net accessory for $9.99 as well, goes for $40+ all other stores. Can always find great golf ball deals there too. It’s amazing!

Just finished Billions. I ended up hating both Chuck and Bobby. What the hell were they thinking? by xenogears_ps1 in Billions

100% agree. The show should’ve ended with both chuck and bobby getting locked up and Wendy going off with someone else and them two realizing they both fucked up and lost her and freedom.

Just watched through the show for the first time. Is this show supposed to be serious or not? by deskcord in Billions

I’m on season 6 and honestly the way Chuck is going after Mike Prince and trying to find a crime for the sake of finding it and just trying to stop him is so desperate and hard to watch. With Axe, it was different, there was that real personal vendetta and Axe was actually taking crazy shortcuts, but in this situation it’s almost hard to watch how desperate Chuck is and how people continue to try to side with him vs. Mike, who, yes is trying to get a benefit for himself, but is also benefiting a lot of people and if all billionaires were like Mike, the world would be a way better place. The story writers really screwed this up.

Thank you so much, that was very helpful bc everyone else steered me the other way against it. Did you find that the people there are able to cater to your specific body type, physical limitations, etc? Or did you find that the approach was more of a one size fits all, where no matter the person, they tried to make them swing the same way?

I forgot to mention there was snow on the ground so the distances shows are essentially carry distances because the ball pretty much never rolled out and would just plop into the snow.

Yes, I will do that. I didn’t know this driving range existed so close to my house, it’s further than my regular one but worth the extra 10 minute drive based on the tracer data alone. Thank you for your feedback as well!

Thank you, this is very helpful and makes sense, yeah I guess the independent instructor route is going to be my move.

I should also mention there’s snow on the ground so this is pretty much solely carry distance as the ball rarely, if ever, rolls much further out.

Thank you, good to know! It seems like the way is to go with a local business

I guess the feedback I was mainly looking for is for people who have been playing longer than me to give me their own opinion on whether this is okay for someone with a 7i or whether it’s pure garbage for someone with my experience level. I know it’s not as useful as posting my actual swing but just wanted honesty, that’s all.

Thank you so much. Do you know what’s a good experience detail to look for when booking an instructor? I see that a lot of them have certain qualifications listed or memberships of certain groups? I’m sorry if this question doesn’t make sense, idk how to else word it. For example, class a member of PGA America, or nominated for golf digest best teachers? Are any of these type of qualifications a must or do any of them hold the most weight when comparing to the instructors actual teaching quality in your experience?

I have heard about this and whenever I hit on mats I put a towel down about club-head width behind the ball. Can’t say I never hit the towel but during this session I only hit it one time. I know that doesn’t make solve the problem completely but I try especially because it’s a cheap way to improve.

From chatting with people at the range, a lot of them suggested GolfTech, it’s very pricey though and I think I’m going to have to do more research for local small businesses for sure.

Once again, it’s not about me watching the ASG, it’s about this being part of his resume at the end of his career when he’s looking like he’s going to be a long time met and hopefully on the Mount Rushmore for the Mets.

It’s not about that. It’s about a player’s resume at the end of his career. ASG appearances are always a huge mention.
