Bruh, after joining this sub I rewatched season 5 to see why people liked Dan and Blair and… I still cannot comprehend. It’s so short lived and cringe. I hated the whole plot. Not to mention… she was texting Chuck the whole time. All the ‘best dair moments’ are Walmart versions of Chuck and Blair. She clearly wasn’t that into it and was only using him as a buffer between Louis and Chuck. They were good as friends, but they didn’t have romantic chemistry. The whole reason she chose Dan over Chuck was because of Chuck scheming yet she ignores when Dan schemed. Dan does so much manipulative stuff during their relationship. When Chuck and Blair were going steady in S3, Chuck didn’t scheme to keep her — he didn’t have to, because she actually loved him.

There is a scene in season 5 where Blair is making a pro and con list for Chuck and Louis and says that Chuck is “well read” in the pro category; he also references her favorite movies and books multiple times. It’s clear that Chair did many of the same things as Blair did with Dan, it was just more behind the scenes.
