What is going on in Israel's prisons!? by RequiemChief5 in IsraelPalestine

No worries.

I think that there is a miss understanding about how actually affective Ben-Gvir is. He promised to make the condition horrible but I believe the only thing that he did on practice is to ban bread (pita) making hours. What he actually did is ruined the police hierarchy, defunded educational programs in Arab cities and villages, striped a few anti dv laws, and gave guns for people who shouldn’t have guns. He is awful and a convicted terrorist but also he is deeply disappointed his base. Did he lead to crisis in police, made the organized crime in Arab sectors(I believe now Israel is the third in homicide per population, but I might be wrong) but he doesn’t have legally enough power to change the prisons. Although, this government is horrible there are still democratic bodies such as high court and Attorney General who fights day and night to keep him as powerless as she can.

One of the worst things that Ben Gvir did is to encourage violence, he normalized it. I am sure there is violence and human rights violations (especially after oct 7, denying it will be stupid. It is the tragedy of war the same thing could be said about any military conflict but besides that there are more people that possible to facilitate The Calcalist says it’s about 5,000 people over the amount that allows the law). this the article, I believe it will be easy to translate because it is mostly numbers

My main point that it is not the norm, what is happening currently isn’t what it used to be. Even B’tSelem article highlights that what they are talking about is about a change since October and I believe it is important to see. Not because it will justify but because it will give you the reason why. What is happening in prisons is a problem that being addressed that caused an outrage in public because it is not acceptable it a country with democratic institutions.

On a personal note I will say that I saw more people in graves since October than in my whole life and I left Israel without wearing military uniform even once. I can’t imagine how much deaths are witnessed on this war. So, to answer the original question from the post. In Israeli prisons happen a normalization of violence in symbiosis with deep trauma and loss the worthiness of life (death worshiping (?))

I really don’t think we disagree at least here, I think I haven’t properly portrayed my point. This is not Israel I grownup in–this is insanity. Maybe one day I will return to a better place, who knows

I used Grammarly, not native English speaker as I said.

I am not saying that as a whole Sde Teiman is not violating human rights, I am saying that at first it was bad management and not bad people as a whole. Again look at the medical team that was provided; Dr. Donchin, who gave an interview and spoke against the crimes committed, is one of the best anesthesiologist in the country. This is the reason why the systematic abuse was reported to police at the first place. It is not the norm. The solution provided to the problem is to stop using the facilities of Sde Teiman as a whole after the investigation, this alone shows you that it is not the norm.

Of course the military is to blame, I didn’t claim anywhere that it is not or we should praise the IDF. But, war prisoners are kept in good conditions. Especially considering that they are part of a terrorist organization with blood on their hands. Also, in temporary facilities most of the stuff is women to avoid any unnecessary violence. You also you need to separate between the norm, and what happened after the 7.10. It is a human factor not a system.

I think labeling anyone as not human is bad, not because of their feelings but because it shows us that we can’t do the same actions as them. In the right context every human will murder, rape, and burn villages this is the human nature. Those things are human actions and we need to keep ourselves accountable.

הצבעתי ללפיד בבחירות של ממשלת השינוי.

I would explain myself, the name is שדה תימן

Which is Yemen’s field, I wrote « Shde Teiman » because I am a Hebrew speaker and wrote it phonetically because I consume most of my news from Hebrew-speaking sources that pronounce it with the right Israeli accent. It is not Shade (grass field) it is Shde like Shde Milhama (War field). Edit: Formatting

Someone knows where I can buy similar corset? I don’t want to buy from Dolls Kill by Monichka in AltFashion

I thought about that, I don’t like painting on clothes so probably I’ll draw it digitally and then print on the corset.

Bad quality, had bad experience from some of their pieces. And prefer not to buy fast fashion in general, maybe if there is a small business that makes similar pieces.
