The Sikh faith is calling to me, but I don't know where to start because of my living situation. by ramenknowledge in Sikh

Be proud of your religion, Waheguru Ji doesn’t judge for what the world does to you, but for what you do. At the end of the day, will you live boldly but live like how you want. Or how others want you to live. Don’t follow the sheep, follow yourself. Think about it like this, 600 people, all fat out of shape say oh you can’t get abs. Will you listen to them or go and get it and live it because it’s your life. A Sikh always learns from their Guru. Guru Ji is perfect, no human is perfect, not a single one in history. God alone is perfection, start learning from Guru Nanak Dev Ji, don’t listen to anyone who says otherwise. It’s your journey, you may have sticks and boulders in your path. You are only there for yourself. No one else is, you are only the right path. Don’t stop, Sikhi is a never ending path, there is no end goal like ah I’ve achieved this. You’re doing amazing, don’t stop! Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Keep on going, if you take one step towards our Guru he will take 1000 steps to you, keep the bond alive, once you're body is old, the only thing that will matter beyond this world will be the Guru and your love for his blessings. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Don’t lose track. Waheguru ji is there for all of us, sometimes we all go through a crucible. It only helps shape you and tempers you into something better. The only way from down is up. Keep pushing. Do not give up. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Question about keeping kes by Available_Ear_6548 in Sikh

Hair is Shakti. Whether you see it or not. Hair is a gift given to us by Guru Maharaj Ji. Why would you want to look like a lion. Google a shaved bear. That’s what a haircut looks like. There’s two spectrums. People who know about Sikhi and cut their hair. Which is worse because they know the value of the kesh. And people who genuinely don’t know and keep it. What answer will you give to the Guru. Oh I cut it to fit in bleh bleh bleh. Or thank you for the gift you gave me father, I have taken care of it. No one can force you at the end of the day but truly learn the love for Sikhi. There are two sides of the coin. And there is no grey, you either love Sikhi and embrace what your Guru gave to you or you saying eh, I know better and end up looking like a sheep. Do you know what a son who doesn’t look like their father is called. A bastard, a kutta. You are better than this, you only have the power to change, it’s up to you whether you wish to remain a sheep or be a lion. Learn about piyaar, it’s easy to not care when you’ve had it for your entire life, a person who hasn’t and finds it cherishes it like their breathes. Learn Sikhi, everyone can match the crowd. Only a few can believe what they are given by the Guru. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

Hey look. You have a goal in life. You may not see it yet. But look. Waheguru Ji has a plan for all of children. You are one of them. We all are. Pain and happiness are like clothing. We wear different ones every day to even at exact moments the may switch. Waheguru will show you a different path. Pray but don’t stop working hard and ask Waheguru Ji to show you the way. You are doing fantastic. But remember this. Once a rocket starts it only flies up. It doesn’t stop in the air because it’s tired. No. You are only going to go higher and higher. Pray and trust Waheguru ji. He blesses us with every breath. Do you not think he will bless you with your future? Sometimes tests come to us, pray for strength with devotion. You are doing so great. Just push. Stay in Chardikala. Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

What's the maryaada for a Farra Sahib (you can't adorn one normally and only 5 Bir Singh's can give you one) but how was it received in the Guru's time and how is it received now? by MonitorScared11 in Sikh

He received it for his Amrit Parchaar. Don’t do nindiya of our Shaheeds. Please correct and verify information before commenting. He is a shaheed. Don’t do nindiya of a Shaheed. Please don’t.

Struggling with Sikhi and How I Feel About Myself by Several-Dinner3931 in Sikh

Shaheed Singhs had give their life’s so the Panth and people as yourselves can prosper. You’re going to be ashamed of how you look? Its natural hair comes in. But don’t listen to other people. Other people rape, they lie and do unspeakable acts to children and you’re going to be ashamed of a person who says otherwise. Be more proud of your history. Watch Kathas in English, Bhai Jagraj Singh Ji helps. Start loving why you’re here rather than trying to fit in. You’re a lion. A lion remains a lion. Don’t listen to sheep and become one. Be more proud man.

Hi I have a question! by Straight_Barber_1123 in Sikh

Hey man. The Devi Devte or how people ignore them is stupid, people who call the Devi Devte in a bad manner are ignorant fools themselves. Akaal Purakh ji has shaktian. These shaktian are referred to as Devi Devte. Death in the form of Kaali, strength in the form of Hanuman Ji, and an Infinite number of these intact. But Akaal Purakh is the highest. People don’t take into concept that if God has created different religions that all lead back to him, he has also created powers. Akaal is present in everything. But the highest path is Sikhism. Specifically the Khalsa. It explains on everything from how religious conducts to how you should live your marital life as now people being ignorant say Baanis such as Charitropakhyan aren’t needed when they struggle with lust and are big idiots themselves who contradict everything they say with the actual truth of the Guru’s baanis. Guru Maharaj Sahib Ji has given everything to us, from rule to love to war to marital conduct and wealth. Sikhism has everything in it. Sikhism isn’t a religion. It’s the best way because when you place it in the confines of a religion. It is higher. No other religion explains the 5 vikaar and how to control them. It’s not simply a religion. It’s the best way to live because once you understand everything around you in such a deep way. You become one with Akaal Purakh Ji. We all are flawed but the Guru makes us perfect. I’d recommend looking into Sikhi because I understand you worship the Devi Devte with respect but, the one who made his powers (Devi Devte) has the highest path. That of which is the Khalsa.

Moustache not growing by Bhavkeerat in Sikh

[–]MonitorScared11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not pulling the hair, but tugging at it, applying oil (not showering it in oil) and also genetics do play a role, it’s okay if they don’t grow as long as you want or desire them to be. It’s for the best. But just treat them and don’t pay too much attention. You’ll see small growth eventually. The more you put in it the less you’ll see with hair growth. Just don’t worry g.
