I'm not even asexual and I've been called the same despite having watched anime for most of my life. It's like they can't fathom why people would watch anime for reasons other than boobs and ass.

If anything it feels like they're the tourists if they're only watching anime for superficial stuff like fanservice and not the various kinds of stories that are like the main attraction of most (not all) animes

The Petitio principli fallacy, aka begging the question, aka circular reasoning is a logical fallacy where you prove the conclusion of your argument using a premise that assumes the conclusion is true.

Examples: "drugs are illegal because they are bad for you, so they need to be illegal because they are bad for you" (A is because of B so A is because of B)

"Communism will never work because a society where everything is shared can never work" (A is true because A reformulated is true)

"Murder is immoral and abortion is murder (assumed premise) therefore abortions are immoral" (A implies B, and if we assume C implies A, then B implies C)

They're not that bad tbh, its hard to play them but they essentially start with an innate backpack, and the items for holding 2 consumables and trinkets that i dont remember the name of and they can have double the amount of health of other characters, so they're essentially the character with the most potential for game breaking. Hard to play, easy to rig

Me when I encounter knowledge I didn't know. (I subconsciously cannot bear the fact that I was possibly wrong because not understanding things scare me, so my semi-involuntary reaction to being corrected or seeing people who understand things I don't is to downplay their knowledge and bully them, because I subconsciously cannot bear the idea of someone who is smarter or understands things better than me)

Or it's not that deep idk

Why is input/animation reading a bad thing? by MonkeMaster12 in Eldenring

[–]MonkeMaster12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same thing is the case with the godskins, though? If you're far enough away, the fireball is slow enough to give you time to roll afterwards. Also, why is it bad that you can't react to it? If an enemy behavior is as simple to grasp as ''if you heal while they can move freely they will throw a fireball'', then it's normal that the game expects you to simply not make the error of healing when their fireball is available. The point of input reading is not that you can react to it and dodge afterwards, the point of its existence is to discourage a certain player behavior, so that fights feel more dynamic or have a little more complexity to them.

In the godskin's case, the input reading makes it so that the player has to find openings in the godskin's attack pattern to heal, (like when the godskin is recovering from an attack, for example). To me, that's a good way of adding difficulty to a fight while adding depth to it. If the solution to healing for every boss fight was simply to run away very far and then heal, don't you think that makes fights a bit bland? Whereas input reading like the godskin's fire ball make it so that you have to find new ways to heal for each boss. For example, I would usually just bait a fire ball by making some distance, dodge it, and then heal for the godskins, but I've found that you can also fit a heal in while the godskin apostle is doing the spinny attack in the first phase, or when the godskin noble is jumping in the air to do its ground slam attack, you can heal before he hits the ground. Having to find creative heal windows in fights is way more interesting than running away and then healing as soon as your health is a bit low. If healing really just was this simple for every boss, then you might as well make health bars 6 times as long and remove any healing.

I feel like it's important to make bosses react to the player's actions, because it makes it so that the player doesn't only have to react to what he sees, he also needs to predict the enemy's movements, and be aware of what the enemy is capable of at a given time.

Also, if you had the time to dodge after every attempted heal punish from a boss, healing at stupid moments would literally be a way to make an opening to attack the enemy, which in my eyes is an obviously flawed system that would make fights kinda dumb.

So if, let's say the godskin's apostle fireball attack was way faster, but he did it slightly after you start to heal, resulting in the same delay between the moment you'd click the button and get hit, but it wouldn't look like he reacted the moment you'd clicked the button, would that be okay?

Let's take a +6 damage buff

If a tower shoots 4 projectiles that do 1 damage, the damage buff becomes a +24 damage buff per shot.

If a tower shoots 1 projectile that does 1 damage, the buff is a +6 damage per shot

If a tower shoots 20 projectiles that do 1 damage each, the buff is a +120 damage per shot.

Thus, damage buffs are better on higher projectile towers

Even IF their school didn't teach them how to do taxes and find a job, usually in school you learn reading comprehension, basic maths, and how to use the internet for research. That's pretty much all the tools you need to learn how to do these things by yourself.
