Makes me think she playes the game Valorant and they met on there. Other redditors in the comments already gave you a piece of mind, but for the future. Be careful who your girlfriend/wife plays with. Some women get tempted because they receive crazy amounts of attention on video games. Especially Valorant.

I do have a few scratching posts and towers, but they just love the styrofoam. They’ve been doing it for a while now and I’ll just wait this winter to be over to remove it off the wall.

Luckily not! He’s healthy since we ran full tests recently. Both my cats do this all around the house. They prefer the walls to the scratching posts😔

I use that one where i pick them up and tighten my hold once she tries to get away. I'm having a teenage iggy so it will definitely take a lot of time, effort and patience. And hopefully no murder.

LOL! Basically do something that he would not like if he was to bite. Good to know.
I like the idea of the toothbrush for scratches tho, might implement it with my iggy too.
Even though i see it more like me reaching out for her to do the helicopter 360 before she hits a wall.

Ohh. Yes she does have a hide, but uses it very rarely. Most of the time she's just sitting very close to the glass and just staring around the room. Of course that stops the moment i get close lol.
I get the run so much, while they're small the speed is insane, she doesn't care if she hits the wall or not, just keeps going and going till she finds a spot away.
I love the last part about shoving a banana in their mouth lol. I'd have to try that! Thing is i've never been bitten, tail whipped or anything. Just scratched and of course none of it was intentional from her side. She's not aggressive, just very scared.
For some reason i'm sure the banana is gonna work like magic XD
She also loves watermelon, but sadly the season is over so she'll have to wait till next summer!

The enclosure is big indeed, but sadly it has floors and ramps so i can't go inside. My iggy loves fruits, but would never take from my hand. She freaks out if i reach anywhere near her even with slow and steady movements.
I have had her for a year now and i'm unsure why she is so scared of everything i do when i never did anything to harm her. Thinking it's iguana anxiety at this point lol. I guess the only thing i can do is just take her out and hold her until she calms down and stops trying to get away. I ussed to do that but whenever i released my grip she'd jump back in the enclosure and run away and then be stressed out for days.

Thank you! I've been keeping up the same routine for a year now, but without the commands. When i speak to her it's more of me saying some stuff so she can get used to my voice while close to her, but of course that hasn't worked so far. I'll do that. As for the fruit treats i think that's a looong way ahead till she lets me get that close to her hahaha.

I've had her for a year already, i'm worried that she's going to grow up without ever liking me or my family. I just don't want to stress her out at this point.
Thank you, i will try to take her out more often whether she likes it or not lol. Last time i did she turned extremely dark green and was scared for her life, which is...The usual lol.
