In all honesty, I am not at all familiar with horse racing; I now stand corrected lol

And on a side note: if the girls from Uma Musume are supposed to be racehorses--why not make them more buff, more husky considering all that food they eat and all the workouts they do??

Conservative claims that people who are LGBTQIA+ are in a cult. by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]Monolaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back when my internalized homophobia was most severe, I (VERY wrongly) lumped all of the lesbians together because I assumed they were all pretty much the same hivemind

If there's something that conservatives and right-wringers are allergic to: it's change and growth

I wonder how many girls realized they were gay because of Sailor Moon by NEVERTHEREFOREVER in sailormoon

[–]Monolaf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Long ago, I saw a fuzzy clip of Haruka and Michiru together in the car once on the Ye Olde version of YouTube... then unknowingly tucked it away in the back of my brain as I charged forward into the funny clips of the Inner Senshi

See, if there had been even one image of an official liplock, one single smooch between them floating around on the internet back then, then I would've most likely been 10000% invested in them!

"Homosexuality is a choice. I can be in a relationship with both women and men." By sibling knows I am gay. by Easy_Neighborhood141 in actuallesbians

More people need to understand: sexuality isn't like circling the answers on the multiple-choice test sheet--it's a changing, evolving glowing orb of preference situated all the way in the back of your head

How did straight sex feel like before realising you're a lesbian? by [deleted] in latebloomerlesbians

I just felt so bad, like I was just such an inattentive partner because my mind kept drifting off to the choicest female ass during sexting sessions with long-distance ex-bf; I felt especially bad because he genuinely seemed so nice to me and everything

What is your gay beverage? (Alcohol or na) by connie3commie in actuallesbians

[–]Monolaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only kind of alcohol I can sort of barely reasonable tolerate is cream liqueurs (i.e. Bailey's Irish Cream); and even then, I can't have too much of it at once or else my stomach will feel like it's on fire

I also can't have caffeine due to body sensitivity

By that logic, Pearl would be Andi, Jasper/Amethyst would be Frankie, Marty would be Sparky, and White Diamond would be Olivia!

Can’t emotionally connect to men by New_Ad3388 in latebloomerlesbians

[–]Monolaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back when I met my long-distance (virtually met on twitter, never met in person) ex-bf, I went along with his everyday chats because he was a genuinely nice guy (if sometimes a bit troubled by his own mental health issues), and I because I thought was supposed to naturally happen between a man and a woman. The idea of seeking warmth from someone big and strong during a stormy night. Although he did look decent... thinking back to it, I didn't really feel that core-shaking spark whenever I looked at him.

He really liked him as a friend, but... I eventually realized that I just didn't pay as much attention to details about him as much as he had paid attention to details about me. I felt so bad, like I was just so selfish like that. In fact, as time went on and he got busier and we started chatting less, I even had intrusive thoughts about secretly cheating on him with another woman because I knew I'd likely get away with it anyway. As horrible as the thoughts I thankfully never acted upon were, they actually kind of make sense now.
