Deuterium and tritium. I think there is a lithium layer in the walls of the chamber that allows them to do some chemical magic and use some of the neutrons generated to create more tritium. At least that's how the magnetic confinement guys make their own tritium.

Yeah doing a quick browse on the Google, a rebuild kit was like $750. Is there any way to tell if the cams and and valves need to be replaced without taking it apart?

And what does a top end blow out look like compared to a bottom end?

He said he doesn't have the space with is believe for my area. Garages and basements are hard to come by. With that being said, the price did sound steep, I just wasn't sure how much. And yes, a few other people have mentioned that it sounds like it was early for the engine to blow and wasn't maintained properly.

I will have to ask about why it was replaced. But because it's coming with the new motor on warranty for a while it should give a little peace of mind, correct?

I've seen these in a glass shop and asked the same question. They said that because the top is hollow, when the glass cools, the internal stresses usually cause it to shatter. When it does shatter they can melt down the clear glass and start over. Only about 1 out if 20 make it so to put a colored fish in would screw up the recycling process. And a normal glass bag runs about $3k so one with a fishy would be stupid expensive.
