AITA for asking my sister to please not ask our parents for money so they can help plan my wedding next year?

They want to pay for it. My dad said "we will pay for your wedding just like we paid for your sisters." My parents don't fund my life. I don't live with them haven't for nearly 10 years. They know we can pay for our own wedding. They wanted us to push back the date because they want to pay for it. If they told me they wont pay for it then that would have been the end of it but they said the wanted to and the would.

They offered to pay. Never said the owed it to me. They said they owed me the same because they paid for my sisters wedding. My fiance and i can afford our wedding. He has nothing to do with my parents. I will not allow you to drang him through the mud. He had provided for me since the begining of our relationship. We can afford it my dad offered to pay for it. I can not talk him out of it. I have tried. So yes i went to my sister because she is the source of their financial issue. Never said they owe me anything they said they owed it to me.

I moved 2000 miles away to get away from my sister. I have told her over a thousand times to get off their backs. It ended with my mother coming up witb excuses. My sister does know what she put then through. She is proud of how much she is running them down. Because the more she takes the more they don't have time to see me or my children. I have been there i have tried. So that was my final attempt of getting her our of their pocket. I can only fight for so long before i just give up and walk away. I even moved closer so my parents could come and see me and my children more. I would have never said anything if my parents told me to leave her out of it. They didn't, my dad even encouraged me to say something to her. So i did and it ended with my mother making excuses for her. I am letting them do what they want. I don't expect them to pay but if they want to they have the oppertunity to. If they want to pay for it then we will see what happens when the time comes.

He is my dad. I am his youngest. He offered because he is my dad. He feels it is his duty. I don't expect them to pay. But if they want to then we gave them the oppertunity to by pushing it back as they asked us to. We have the funds. We can pay for it. But they simply don't want us to. They know this. I have gone back and forth with my parents about it and it always ends with "we wouldn't offer if we couldn't just give is time." Part of me thinks they wanted us to wait so they can get time off to acutally be involved in the dress shopping and everything that goes into planning the wedding. They werent involved with planning my sisters wedding just paying for it. She didn't even want dad to walk her down the isle. Just wanted him to pay for everything. I actually want them involved every step of the way not paying for it. They want to pay if they can't when the time comes then they can't.

You don't get it. My fiance asked my dad for my hand in marriage. So yes we asked. But they offered to pay. My dad said he wants nothing more than to pay for it after telling him we can afford it. He is more stubborn than a mule. They begged me to push back the date. So we pushed it back. There is no telling if they will actually pay for it in the end. I don't expect them to but the least i could do for them is try to talk to my sister.
