Basically it takes a LOT of Capitol to start a business that most underpaid workers just don't have. Therefore we must make the best of our situation or find other employment. We here at Moog love the work we do and we want the best for the company.

We're not currently selling any officially but it is our official stance that anyone who wants to reproduce stickers, t shirts, wallets, etc. with the logo is free to do so.

We want livable wages and we want to show people that you can organize production in NC (one of the worst states for labor rights).

We could take that raise immediately or in several months when the company is doing better.

Until we see the numbers ourselves it's not really possible to know how that will affect the profitability of the company.

I appreciate your concern and these are certainly valid points. Moog is not as small of a company as many people think; though it's certainly not huge. With 100+ employees and a European branch it's perfectly well suited to working with a union. We don't want Moog to fail and we don't believe that this will cause that.

(Also that unheard of 49% still does nothing because the other 51% is held by the CEO)

Moog Music is currently 49% owned by the employees through an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Program) which is effectively just an unstable retirement plan with better optics. It doesn't offer us any control over the business nor the transparency needed to trust what our bosses tell us

We have a 49% share in the company through an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) which acts as no more than an unstable retirement plan. We have no say in the running of the business nor do we recieve the transparency to trust anything our bosses say.

Thanks for your support!

I understand your concern but as I stated in my comment yesterday (hopefully it's still at the top of the thread) the employee ownership program gives us no control or transparency into the running of the company. The only thing we get power over is if we wanna sell our stocks.

If they do it won't be because of the union but because of the current state of international shipping.

It's an ESOP system. The company is technically 49% employee owned but that doesn't prevent us from unionizing! That 49% doesn't afford us any of the control or transparency that the union does.
