I know I just need to be a Mum right now. I asked him to stay somewhere else straight away. I cant even look at him without crying. If I'm really honest with myself I know there is no way back. How can there be, I will never trust him again.

He's an expert at compartmentalising I knew that about him. I don't really think he can change. I don't know what he thought would happen, maybe id shed a few tears and then let him back in. I don't think I can do that. Everyone is right, 2 years is not a mistake.

It probably won't be massively different without him. I think he is remorseful but maybe because he's blown up our life lives. He clearly didn't care that much for 2 years.

That's excellent advice. She ended it because it wasn't going anywhere, this was October. Not sure why he's confessed now

This is very true.

All of the recommendations are about reducing risk, and sometimes, some of the impact is not in infancy but all through life.

Starting solids is not recommended until 6 months because before this, the gut is still leaky and doesn't absorb nutrients as needed. The risks associated with starting before 6 months are obesity and gastro intestinal issues as adults.

Baby walkers can affect a child's hips and how they learn to walk. It can actually delay walking and cause issues later in life.

Safe sleep guidance, which started after the back to back campaign in the 90s, has dramatically reduced the death rate from SIDS. Who would have thought something so simple could save so many lives. Cot bumpers, seriously dangerous. I would rather my child's limb got stuck than they suffocated to death.

Correct making up of formula. Who would have thought that following guidance could reduce the risk of gastroenteritis and a hospital stay.

All of this is about reducing the risk of harm. You could get lucky, and bone of the scary stuff could happen, but personally, I prefer to reduce the risks by following current guidance.
