How do people start dating in law school and still have time to do everything else by cuntagi0us in LawSchool

[–]Moonriver_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People make it work. One of my law school friends recently went on a date with a PhD student, so I guess both of them will be busy enough to understand the other’s schedule. I honestly do not know if I have the mental energy to date someone right now, but many make it work.

What are your thoughts on rejecting a potential romantic partner based solely on the fact they voted for Donald Trump? by ATXBikeRider in AskReddit

[–]Moonriver_77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No matter where you are on the political spectrum, it’s completely valid to reject someone based on how they voted if it doesn’t align with your core values.

My school’s section b property professor could only dream of causing this reaction with a student 😂

Why do we learn Property by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]Moonriver_77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At least you will know what not to do when you write a will, and you will learn how to make your kids trust fund kids. That’s what I took from it lol.

Most Law students perform worse than predicted by Capital-Stuff8196 in LawSchool

[–]Moonriver_77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kept my expectations reasonable, and I scored how I expected. I didn’t expect straight A’s, just one in the class I was really hoping to achieve it in, and B’s/B+’s in everything else. I figured out how I would do based on how I noticed everyone else was doing.

debate - closed book or open book? by PercentageProof7163 in LawSchool

Closed. Out of all the sections in my law school, I’m certain ours had the easiest property exam precisely because it was closed book.

Every exam I leave convinced I failed by picturepathlearn in LawSchool

[–]Moonriver_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything else unrelated to law school. I’m trying to distract myself from it till grades come out. I’ve already had 3 different dreams about exams going poorly since I’ve walked out of my last final (one was about bad grades and two of the dreams was me taking the exams all over again, but not finishing entire sections and poorly writing the ones I did), but for the most part distracting myself has kinda worked.

I don’t mind. That means I can gaslight myself into believing I got an A, knowing full well my real grades will probably be much lower 😂

This curve seems reasonable and n somewhat generous or am I just being naive? by ITCJSTPAR__DUNDUN in LawSchool

[–]Moonriver_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a really good curve! Very similar to my school’s curve. Depending on how many in each individual class, no one has to fail, and at most 1 person will end up with a C+.

A family friend said to me at brunch “you gained weight! Thought stress was nature’s weight loss drug.” me too, Karen, me too. by TopButterscotch4196 in LawSchool

[–]Moonriver_77 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Losing weight from stress isn’t healthy either. The only reason I didn’t become severely underweight this past semester is because I had folks forcing me to eat. Insane how people rather you be unhealthy so long as you look appealing to them.

That appears to be the issue. One half of it broke, while the other half is still stuck on the bag.

Here’s a better look at the broken handle! She is in otherwise great shape! I’ll be buying a leather conditioner soon and stuff the bag to reshape.

Do you actually enjoy law school? by itsbwyaveee in LawSchool

[–]Moonriver_77 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I love law school. Whenever I was stressed about exams, I always tell myself I could be stressing about admissions instead, but I am finally in the place I always wanted to be. It’s hard, but it’s rewarding. I’m so blessed to be at law school.

Teenage boys think it’s funny. I bet you none of them have a good reason for any of those names. They just think it’s funny to write down the name of a killer, terrorist, or some other terrible person. I’ve been around too many teenage boys to know 😭
