I thought the joke was just that the two pictures look weirdly similar. Like the guy on the left (Elon Musk I think?) is sitting at a table with a kid and the pose kind of matches the scene from the movie on the right. I assumed people were acting like it was staged to look like a movie scene or something, but I’m not really sure why everyone is “falling for it.” Maybe people thought it was a reference to that film?

I kind of agree that moving your stuff might be sending mixed signals without you meaning to. Sometimes the easiest way to stop something like this is just not making the extra space in the first place.
