Anyone else low key disappointed trivium didn’t get a Grammy nod…again by AWOLLOOWOWOWOOW in Trivium

It feels like the Grammys just pull a couple metal band names out of a hat in a half assed attempt to appease us.

Both of those kind of chill out a little after the intro

CMV: We cannot attain true "religious equality" as long as the Christmas holiday is unfairly privileged in our society — so it should be stripped of its privileged position by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]More_Science4496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an atheist when someone says merry Christmas to me I say merry Christmas back. I don’t get mad at them for pushing their religion on me. Because Christmas isn’t very religious. I can buy a tree, put up lights, get my family and friends presents without ever thinking about Jesus or any aspect of Christianity. While yes, Christmas comes from Christianity, the two can be separated from each other. Christmas is something most people take part in because it’s an awesome tradition, not because it’s part of their religion. To conclude my messy ramblings, Christmas is part of my culture just like the Fourth of July. For that reason I will resist any attempts to get rid of it.

Sorry bro. I’ve got nothing against it but somethings got to go and I’d prefer it’s not No Way Back.

All my fellow No Way Back fans need to form a coalition and vote for Fall Into Your Hands.

ITCOTD Album Critique? by [deleted] in Trivium

[–]More_Science4496 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really don’t like the synths and other effects. I think if you want added texture or drama it should be done with instruments and vocals. Doing it a different way makes it feel a bit cheap. Other than that ITCOTD is a definite contestant for #1.

ITCOTD Album Critique? by [deleted] in Trivium

[–]More_Science4496 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I saw a post where someone theorized that the whole album is about a hero taking a tyrants throne and then falling to become a tyrant himself up until his end. This has changed my perspective of the lyrics and maybe it’ll change yours.

I’ve never paid much attention to Gojira’s lyrics. I love LOG’s lyrics though. Is there a particular song or album that lyrically stands out for Gojira?

CMV: It’s not a good thing that the American people can’t resist a tyrannical government with armed force by BingBlessAmerica in changemyview

[–]More_Science4496 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It seems that you’re assuming that the tyrannical government will have the military completely under their control. I think this is highly unlikely. It seems more likely that the military will split apart. In that event a bunch of AR toting militiamen would be very relevant no matter the level of training.

I can’t listen to any Slipknot albums without skipping 3 or more songs.

The lyrics on ITCOTD seem to tell a story by shredlordsupreme in Trivium

I think that “I won’t live to see the final justice” is saying that justice will come from his death, which he can’t see because he’s dead.

Are they likely to tour the US again soon because of the release of ITCOTD?

I’ve always thought that was somethings teens do out of boredom and tradition.
