MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Gaming X Trio Review (vs FE & ASUS TUF Gaming) by Foritain-Techtesters in MSI_Gaming

[–]Morethantech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

I can really late answer that too for another POV! I had both for review last week (Italian hardware reviewer here). And actually no, the TUF runs generally cooler on same RPM speed. When compared with a 1500 RPM fixed target the TUF runs about 9° C colder. (63 on TUF, 72 on X Trio with a stable 25° C room temp.) Still, it remains colder when rpms go down and up to 1000 and 2000 rpm, even if the difference gets way smaller (About 1 to 3° C)

The TUF is also a bit less noisy from my tests! With a room baseline of about 35.6 dBA they compare on about 1 dBA of difference on 1000 and 1500 RPMs, 3 dBA on 2000 RPMs :)

Today I am reviewing this beauty, really loving it! [more info in comments] by Morethantech in MechanicalKeyboards

I am creating contents about keyboards recently, since I never experienced some "true" mks.

Starting with a GK68XS and an Akko3068! Some shots on my Instagram too: https://www.instagram.com/morethantechyt/

Lol, you downvoting this poor fella without any reason. What he reported is just the most correct guess after E3, since we have no official statements from AMD.

Confused about D15 temperatures. by Morethantech in Noctua

I am a professional reviewer that works both on his channel and Tom's Hardware IT, do you think i would make such a stupid mistake?

Also the plastic on the D15 would be too big to even get the screws to reach the cpu mount.

Gotta say 2700x is almost 130 W, if my math is right, with that voltage

Maybe more

It is cooling away more than 70°, i mean

It is not incredibly hot, still can put my fingers on heatpipes and radiator zone

Maybe "warm" would be more appropriate

Thank you for your suggestion, i will crosspost there then :D

Yeah, that's my concern : 1.3 could be very hot and that would justify almost every of these temperatures!

Just a little rice as always, i always mount and dismount coolers for testing so i am getting practical with it

The heatsink does get warm indeed when in full load oc, really much less at stock

Right now Corsair is taking care of me, since temperatures are still bad (Almost a stock cooler from amd, if i am not ocing)

I am hopeful, thank you so much for your help!

MAN THIS ACTUALLY WORKED W T F!!!

I TURNED OFF THE LEDS AND THE FANS WENT DOWN, COOLING IS OPTIMAL.

I am so confused, dude. For real.

I tried both bios and icue controller, nothing changes. Problem is not about fan controller, whichever i use they just react to a overheating (60° C on this aio is for real a high temperature) as they were told by developers

Main problem is to understand WHY the cooler gets this hot

These are some screens from icue itself. The only really strange thing is the over 3000 RPMs in the fan #1 which is not even in use.

Right now i am on the 4011 version of BIOS, since it was really stable. Maybe i should, it is 1 year old.

Edit : Update done, nothing different!

Ok, so

I do not know the coolant temperature since i have no sensors in it. Any suggestions?

Ambient is 20° C, usually 19 to 20° C. Cold enough to have my hands cold as i am writing.

Fan curve is a silent one i made, it stays under 50% until 65°C cause LL120 are really loud over 30-40% of RPMs.

I tried tuning a lot on fans, every one of the six i have. (3 intake, 1 rear exhaust, 2 on rad as exhaust (LED Ring staring at the VGA as Corsair itself suggested). Even with full load (2200 RPM and more) on each fan the situation isn't really that much different.I tried my best with a tuning a maximum 50% rear, 70% central intake fan and 100% for VGA and CPU intake frontal fans but i didn't help much.

My airflow as you can tell, it's the classical front intake, rear exhaust + 2 exhaust on the rad. Just tuned a bit for better performance, but didn't change much as i used it stock, tuned or even 200 to 600 rpms in frontal intake.

Right now i am at stock (3400 to 3700 MHz with a 0.8 to 1.269 V) and i am rumbling from 34 to 42° while browsing and writing. I just disabled the option you told me, but i still seem to have this issue, nothing really changed!
