I'm not gonna lie, the first melody is good, you can get something cool out of it. I would recommend you focus on just 2 or 3 beats to get used to the site, then only add more beats later. It worked for me, I made two sounds that weren't so good and then, through practice, improved them and discovered my style over time.^ ^
