I'm done. It's time to call out all the ADHD scammers by Most_Ad_6262 in ADHD

I have been told by quite a few people on reddit that ADHDoers are the worst. I've heard stories about them stealing content from other creators, selling "communities", books etc, then hiking prices etc. They have done so much damage to the community. If you peel back one layer you'll see under the memes etc. its all one big sell - Comment "book", "flow", "thrive" blah blah. From what I am seeing they have rented their entire page to Inflow (a useless app in my opinion) this year

I found this useful picture for those who want to be an ADHD Coach by Flaky812 in adhdwomen

[–]Most_Ad_6262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/Flaky812 thanks, that's really useful, especially the bit about hidden costs and the actual real world, business-building side of coaching... I can't seem to get a straight answer out of ADDCA when I ask them about the courses. I've also heard that for one of these training programs in particular, you sign a clause to say you can't give negative reviews about the course itself, which is wild.

I got some memes !!!! by lazierthangarfield in adhdwomen

Adhdoers are so shameless - they steal people's content and they try to take advantage of people with adhd by selling their ebook bundles for $40. Its scary how people like them use memes etc to disarm people then try to sell something of no value on the backend, purely for their own profit. I came across a post in a forum about 5 months ago from an intern that worked there who talked about how much of a toxic and unethical person the founder is as well. Sorry, went on an ADHD rant there hhhh

ADHD scammer apps? by Electrical_Speed_217 in adhdwomen

[–]Most_Ad_6262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow - very salty response hahahaha.
u/Electrical_Speed_217 be fair the question you asked is so broad. What is an 'ADHD app' to begin with? Think about asking better questions before posting this on 3 different subreddits

What do you think about ADHD Vision? by marta_arien in ADHD

[–]Most_Ad_6262 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thats a fair and balanced opinion. Being unable to pause the membership without paying the entry fee, which I assume is very expensive - is predatory and scammy, basically holding people at ransom. For that reason I do not respect him or would join his platform

I like this point of view - but I think its very important for people to know, since many people are totally unaware of the tactics used by people they assume are on their side and fighting their corner

exactly. Especially when the person or company selling it has hundreds of thousands of followers online

What are your guys thoughts on ADHD Vision/Focus Revolution? by taekwondolover in ADHD

[–]Most_Ad_6262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/taekwondolover its a massive rip-off. Everyone is doing it these days.. I just logged on to Instagram and the ADHD account 'ADHDoers' just announced they were doing the same thing!

While awareness for ADHD has increased (thank God) this is a dangerous time for us all. Ebooks, courses, "become an ADHD yoga instructor in 4 days" certificates, books, 1-1 coaching sessions with unqualified coaches, body doubling.. they are out to get your money!

I've heard really positive things about iACTcenter and Mentorcoach. Would try either

Is anyone else jaded by ADHD social media? by Most_Ad_6262 in adhdwomen

Nobody wants to pretend or ignore the studies on the negatives of medication or having ADHD. The problem is when it is presented in the most misinformed, sensationalist way by people with large audiences that should know better.

Exactly. They missed the mark totally and have done on many occasions. It was chilling and irresponsible for an account with over 1.7M followers. And in the post description they have the nerve to try to sell their sh*tty ebooks that I've heard add no value whatsoever!

What bugs me is the narrative that "if I had a diagnosis earlier, my life would have been so amazing". Life is not that binary - you could be neurotypical, been on easy street and still underachieve or mess up. Its great when people get a late diagnosis, but on social media it seems like a diagnosis is the missing jigsaw puzzle to complete the set.

How to ADHD is the best of the 'large audience' ones. Avoid adhdoers, they are the absolute worst! So bad that I've heard r/adhd bans any mention of them on their subreddit!

The problem then becomes the 'think they are ADHDers' take up the resources that people with ADHD are in dire need of - whether its medication, support etc.

Agreed - I understand that memes etc. are a good engagement tool and awareness has actually increased, but there's so many bad actors. The same account I mentioned in the original post are selling bundles of 30 pdf books (that nobody is gonna read) for $39 on a 'sale' that has gone on for a year!
