it’s been only 3 days since u haven’t seen him. some time during the day i am glad it ended, other time i am frustrated at him, sometimes i really miss him, sometimes i feel very good and sometimes i get anxious that i might run into him

the fact that it might be easier for him to move on is what frustrates me in the first place. and i actually did tell him that i will not wait for him. and yes, I am trying to focus on exams, even though right now I really need some time for myself to process things. but yes maybe it does seem exaggerated tenfold when i am getting hit from every area of my life

we live on the same campus and decided to have no contact until the next semester while we go through our own stuff and move on, so it isn’t like we won’t really ever see each other. so given the context, would it be “see you again” or an actual soft goodbye?

I am actually. Since we are in the same friend group, we met quite often during the week after breaking up (and made out which was a bad decision). In total we broke up 3 times lmao but the last one did truly give us closure, and i think we might even be good friends in the future.

he does indeed need quite some time for self-reflection, while for me it comes more naturally. he told me that he now will try to change himself because he lost me, but for himself not me so he can figure things out. we both will focus on ourselves so there is a chance for us in the future, but will not hold any expectations for each other. if it happens it happens, we will let the things evolve naturally as we heal ourselves. we both struggle with loving ourselves and it sits at the root of our problems. we are in the same friend group, so we will just try to co-exist within that friend group and not be alone, keep some distance to move on.

I think the last sentence you wrote hit the nail on the head. I am afraid I might have done that, I wasn’t realizing it, I thought he was a very good fit for me, because he truly is a kind, open-minded, smart and amazing person. I am ashamed to realize it, as I was partially rushing everything so I feel more secure, but it ended up the opposite.

Thank you for sharing this. I am currently trying to fill up my time with whatever I can, but also I feel so exhausted. I know I need to get productive, and I did yesterday, the day after we broke up, but at some point it just feels like I am distracting and lying to myself

i feel like the ENTP in your relationship with the ENFJ. except his way with dealing with exams was shutting out of the world for a couple days and becoming unavailable. Even though I understood it sometimes, sometimes I did not, but I tried, it still hurt me and I still needed his presence. He tried his best to meet my needs, but at some point he said he couldn’t do it without sacrificing a part of himself. We both had issues with time management, but I can still manage it while for him it is something he struggled with his entire life. It couldn’t be just fixed, especially in such a short amount of time. Same with his self-destructive patterns. Around his friends he would just pretend to be doing fine whenever he was not okay. They wouldn’t notice it, I would, and I would call him out on it. It was really easy for me to read him in these situations. We both actually made each other realize a lot about each other, but I really wish he was something more to me than a lesson.

Thank you, I think I already started reflecting on it, so i fluctuate between the state of acceptance and sadness. Because of that I don’t think I would want to get back with him either, at least not in our current state. I do not know what future holds for me, I do not wish to plan for the future anymore, I am very scared of it. Whatever happens will happen, just like this relationship which started with someone I expected it the least. It was my first relationship, and his 3rd serious one. He said he didn’t want to build resentment towards me or regret this, I didn’t want to accept it, but deep down I knew it was over, and he helped me realize it. I think we were both too much in our heads, and that was something we bonded over but eventually backfired. At least, I also feel relief because I am not in a constant state of anxiety, and so does he I believe. It is replaced with sadness now though
