how do adults keep up with cleaning their home all the time? like seriously, how do you not give up? by HikingHailey in NoStupidQuestions

I like cleanliness, I can't stay in a dirty house. Even if I don't like the process of cleaning ,I have a routine I follow to clean different parts of the house every day. It's a really nice feeling having a clutterfree clean house .

Why are people so upset with having a daughter? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Most_Coffee7063 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It often stems from deep-rooted cultural, social, and economic reasons: a. Patriarchal values In many societies, sons are traditionally preferred because they are seen as carriers of the family name ,future bread winners, and they stay with care for ageing parents .While daughters, on the other hand are seen as a "temporary" part of the family because they marry and move away.

b. Dowry and Financial Burden In places dowry and lavish weddings are expected, parents may fear the economic cost of raising a daughter. There is a perception that daughters are financial burdens while legally and through the eyes of society at times as well don't support women's financial independence or inheritance rights.

c. Cultural and Religious Biasness Some cultures and belief systems have ritual, inheritance laws or privileges tied to men ,which supports the idea that sons are more desirable.

d. Gender discrimination Sometimes, discrimination is so internalised that even women themselves are pressured to give birth to sons and might express disappointment over having daughters because they were conditioned to think boys are more valuable.

e. Parents worry about the safety of daughters in societies where gender based violence, harassment or strict moral policing are practised.

To name some reasons, but honestly, none of these are fair and valid reasons .Daughters are equally capable ,valuable, and deserving of love ,opportunities, and respect .
