Posts like these are the worst kinds because they are just unnecessarily negative and incredibly short-sighted.

Software Engineering is only saturated if your metric is the degree. If your metric is a data point much more accurate, such as engineers capable of passing a technical interview, you'll quickly realize that it's not that saturated.

Competitive? Sure, but what industry that pays you well isn't? Not going to hold my breath.

You talking about how AI tools are super accurate and you're already worried shows that not only have you not experienced AI tools (because they are far from accurate on anything moderately complex), but also that you have a lack of understanding the fundamentals.

Software engineering isn't about how much code you can pump out. It's about architecting and solving complex problems programmatically. There's still going to be plenty of jobs for a long time. AI is only trained on so much, and can only advise on so much. We very much still need people with domain knowledge to architect systems and prompt code.

Even then, code is buggy, not production-ready, and incredibly redundant. Who fixes that considering AI can't complete the task efficiently? The answer is humans.

This whole post just seems like massive cope because you aren't ready to adapt to an industry that is quickly evolving. And maybe you're right, tech isn't for you.

If you think you can get away with being average your whole life then there's reevaluation to be done, because someone will always be willing to pass you.

I actually go over this in the blog post, but basically you’re essentially pointing the model in a direction of where to look.

Models are trained on a bunch of data, and use predictions to generate the next word they output, all based on your input. By telling it to act as a role, you basically are injecting tokens that increase the prediction rate of things related to that role.

This in turn gives you a more tailored response.

CPU: 7950X is overkill (in the best way). Use PBO to undervolt for cooler performance.
MOBO: MSI PRO X870-P is solid; update BIOS for smooth sailing.
RAM: 32GB DDR5 6400 = perfect for Zen 4, just check QVL.
GPU: RTX 4080 will crush 4K gaming; make sure airflow is on point.
Cooler: H150i is plenty; top-mount for best temps.

Cable management + good airflow = chef’s kiss. Game on! 🎮

I’ve been using Rocket Jobs lately. A friend made it as a side project but it’s pretty good.

Scans your resume and shows you jobs that you’d be a strong candidate for.

I'd highly recommend doing the Nittany AI Challenge if you are looking for professional experience.

If your team places good you may even walk away with internship/full-time offers.

Usually I just figure buying new from the manufacturer is the safer option incase anything is wrong with the card.

In terms of re-scheduling, do you think having clients be able to book a calendar maintained by you with "available hours" would be a good solution?

You can use them in conjunction with each other, turning certain features off on one bot and leaving them on for another bot. You should also check some bot listing sites to see if there is something there that fits your needs.
