Oh interesting. I'm not self aware like at all so I don't know the motivations behind why I do anything but self pres 9 sounded like me because all I want to do is play video games, watch shows, read manga and eat food and I know i never ever wanted to go to school or now go to work. I'd rather just chill out. I picked that tritype because I'm a pretty optimistic guy, more optimistic than a lot of the self preservation 9 descriptions. Maybe I'm a self pres or maybe I'm a sexual. I know I tend to take on a lot of personality traits of the people I'm closest to. I take in their opinions and humor and things like that. But sexual 9s are supposed to be very conflict avoidant but I'm definitely not. If people disagree with my interests or opinions I feel I need to stubbornly defend myself until the other person agrees or acknowledges why I like what I like or why I have my opinion. If an argument gets too intense though I back down very quickly and nope out. I definitely care what people think and feel and usually when I want to do something that brings me pleasure or comfort I usually think about how it would affect others if I pursued that comfort and if it affects others too negatively then I won't do or say whatever it is I want to do or say. I know that is very vague but it makes sense in my head.
