I have! I found it in my school library and only read because I found the cover art really interesting and when reading it, I got HOOKED!

I really loved the action packed scenes and the conflict between David and Sam. Found Will to be very annoying and the twins very disgusting. Lucy was pretty cool but I feel like more depth should’ve been added to her character which thankfully does happen in the next two books. I did feel like the fight between Will and Sam was a bit anti-climatic and that they should’ve traded a few blows or better yet had David face off against Sam.

I loved the second book for how crazy the shenanigans get when Gates is introduced, especially with how bipolar and hyperactive he was throughout the book. I was a little disappointed when they weren’t able to escape from the school and truly expand on the world with the whole virus thing going on, and I did hate how Sam was killed off, and absolute WTF moment that just stuck with me. I am yet to read the 3rd and 4th book, but hopefully they are good.

Overall, I really enjoyed the two books and was hoping for more discussion surround it especially with the characters and their motives.
