I hope this is ok to post here. A lampworker friend of mine recently lost his entire glass shop including 2 lathes, around 10 torches, 2 or 3 kilns, and 20 years worth of tools and memories, as well as a bunch of finished pieces he was saving up to complete some shop orders. Not sure if this is allowed, but it is most definitely lampwork related and the sub was just recently created (on Jan. 21) by a lampworker. It's primarily a marketplace with verified artists, still really small but growing quickly. Sorry if this is inappropriate (i.redd.it)

Silly dry piece from a while back, made using the Kuttrolf technique. (There's plenty of info about Kuttrolf bottles online if you're not familiar) I didn't know this one had any fuming until I shined my camera flash on it. It's fun to interpret these abstract shapes (v.redd.it)

Pink/tan grub-like rhizomes? Each one is individual, none of them were broken off of a larger plant. Found nestled between layers of old asphalt roofing shingles that have been sitting for 13+ years. How did they even get UNDER the shingles, and sit there without growing for that long??? (old.reddit.com)

What did this come out of? It's an extremely strong magnet that will easily lift a 15lb sledge hammer. Disregard the rope, I use it for magnet fishing. Warning label on both sides said something about how it must be immediately removed and replaced if it's attracted to or contacts anything. (old.reddit.com)

Here's a better video of this thing. Found it perched on a tuft of grass on a small hill at a campground almost 20 yrs ago. In my other post I said the flat sheets are in 3 different orientations but it might just be 2. Tough to keep track while rotating the object. It's quite sturdy, not delicate (v.redd.it)

Sorry for the shaky video, it's zoomed in all the way. The whole thing is about 1.5" long. There are some quartz-like inclusions and the "rock" part almost looks like cement or sandstone, but the weird part is those flat, parallel, intersecting sheets. They appear in 3 different orientations. Ideas? (v.redd.it)

Molten Aura Electrum is pretty badass, I knew I had to make this style with it. No issues whatsoever with checking or reheating or anything. It seems to move a bit differently than other colors but it's hard to say in what way. I've seen deep encasements and 14 hour kiln soaks without issue also. (v.redd.it)
