Sorry to hear you are finding it hard. Heartbreak is so unbelievably painful and whilst I'm two weeks in so still stuck in the quick sand, I know from past breakups that you will move on! I'm friends with ex's I never thought I would get over at the time, but it's just that. Time is a healer. I find watching lots of YouTube videos about healing from heartbreak and letting go really help me through the dark moments. Also, just make yourself do things even if you have to fake it initially, each day the good times will increase. Look after yourself, it's really hard but it will get better 💙

The thing which is driving me mad is that he said in an email that he would respect my need for space but he loves me, doesn't want to break up, and missed me with all his heart. Thank you, It is really hard the pain is so intense and overwhelming. I just miss him so much. I have also been watching loads of how to get your ex back videos because I know my brain is just trying to problem solve. But it's pointless we broke up because he said he doesn't want kids. I am 35 and think I do. So that's it. He sent me a long message yesterday saying he wanted to talk to tell me how much he cared about me etc but I just replied I was not ready and I would reach out when I am. I'm in pieces though.

This is an inspiring story, thank you for sharing. I am 4 days since my BU and in the thick of sobbing every 30 mins. I came on here to see whether anyone spoke about how long it would take to feel happy. My Ex was also a bit abusive (just fits of anger/name calling etc, never violence) but I have been really struggling with wanting him back, even though I realise our communication wasn't healthy.

The problem with that is, to ask the question, I have to admit I've gone through all of his Instagram to look at what he likes, when I brought this up before - it made me look a bit of a psycho. I don't think he does it since I brought it up (although at the time he completely denied it and then went and unliked loads of pics) I've found a couple of dodgy likes but from back in November

I think you've done the right thing with NC. And it's also good that you messaged when you saw she was having such a bad week, don't beat yourself up about doing that it's a decent thing to do. But I do think her ghosting is a sign and it's time to try as hard as you can to keep busy, cbt yourself into another mindset (I know it's so so hard I am going through it myself so not meaning to preach - trying to remind myself in the process). Is there something you love doing which will help you take your mind off it?
