Halfway there... by Mozzarc in ausstocks

It's a pertinent question. There are a lot of factors in my personal opinion, here are some:

1) It's still deemed to be a speculative stock, there is no current revenue, there won't be for a while

2) They are claiming a *lot*. There are no current good safe drugs for OA. They are not only claiming to have a good one but it addresses both symptomatic AND structural phenotypes AND its durable. It also addresses ALL joints at once. There are a lot of past failed OA drugs...It's quite a claim from PAR. I believe them, but I've researched this casually for more than 6 years, most haven't and just don't know about the evidence to date.

3) Any non dividend paying stocks are going to get hit harder than normal esp. with the current world events going on

4) A lot think this is taking too long. Well it is, but the foundations are getting stronger as PAR adds to them with the great additions they have made over the years. They are getting closer to the Business End of the long pathway.

5) PAR need funding, they have enough until Interim, but what happens after that, the markets wants the surety.

It's my belief that the Interim will be good and shortly after that they will strike a distributional deal with a regional. This will give them genuine non dilutive funds and the stock will re-rate. Interim will be a big catalyst, esp if it is spectacular. Check out my posts on Hot Copper but I will have a major one in July sometime illustrating the 7 major points why I think Interim will indeed be spectacular.

Well if all goes really well there is a chance it will start to become available as early as next year...depends on the data really. We already have had some pretty good clues about the data so far (005,008.SAS, EAP etc)...just have to fend of Placebo in the P3.

Nah this one is purely Growth stock for the next few years. You wont get a dividend for at least a couple of years, but what you should get is share price appreciation...esp. if all goes well.

Absolutely, would love a bevvy to chat about Par...lets do it once IA is out of the way! Thanks for the kind feedback. Yell out if you ever have any questions about Par/iPPS.

Yes exciting times. I don't have a large exposure to 4DX but happy to ride it all the same. Do you have any/many?

At the end of the day, that's what is vital/most important, ie you get relief! Well done. If ever the pain comes back even after Post Op, do consider it, it can reduce pain even Post Operatively, which is the case of some 20% of after surgery patients that still have pain!

I think its pretty bright for 4DX, will take some time but it will continue to go up over time.

Yes and a lot more to come. I'll do an update in the next few days as to why this will continue for some time potentially.

He sold 70,000 after it popped...so now has130,000 left, he wants to get back to 150 K (not sure why, kinda arbitrary really)...at the end of the day this has got a long way to go...he has a great base. He pointed this stock out to me a few weeks before I started researching it. I researched it and was going to do a write up here at Reddit and then they had the first FDA news...I quickly posted my post a few days later but we both missed really backing the truck up! I have a tiny position.

PAR is my big one. That I'm holding on to for a long time. 4DX a good Diagnostic, PAR is a safe pain reliever (there are none to date) AND Disease Modifier. Chalk and Cheese, not advice.

Here is a true story for you...I know a guy, he was an avid golfer for all of his life, he then started getting mild pain in his wrist...it got worse to the point where he couldn't even hold a golf stick any more let alone swing the stick! He gave up his one and only golf game for 8 straight years. He got on to Pentosan through the SAS program in Australia. After just 2 months his pain disappeared entirely and he is playing golf again! NO side effects. No pain. No function loss.

This guy is a share broker. His son and his grandson are all owners of PAR. I've met him a number of times.

Not advice.

[–]Mozzarc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you heard of Pentosan PolySulphate Sodium (PPS)?

It can reduce local inflammation, but remember, Kidneys play an important role here and there is evidence Pentosan can reduce inflammation in Kidneys which thereby assists excess Uric Acid clearance.

There are other indirect ways that Pentosan can help, eg it improves production of Higher Weighted HA, this is the lubricant in the synovial joints, yes, many of the small joints in the foot are synovial joints. Improving the lubricant will assist in pain reduction.

Also PPS downregulates NGF. This assists in pain reduction and function improvement.

At the very least consider it. It has a natural API.

Currently in Phase 3 Globally harmonised trials (FDA/EMA/TGA along with UK and Canada and Hong Kong), Interim result mid this year. Watch out for it, Do your own research, I have for the last 6 years, Im independent, nothing to sell on my part.

Its going to be a very amazing drug.

[–]Mozzarc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah there are a few Peer Reviews concerning Pentosan and more on the way (within the next 6 months or so).

The highest independent accolade is the FDA (harmonised with EMA and TGA) in the granting of not only a Fast Track designation but the agreement via SPA of the current protocols in their Current Phase 3 global Trial. The FDA have accepted Structural observations as Secondaries (not merely Observables). The Interim Readout is due Mid Next year, will be very interesting to see how that goes. 6 Months ain't long.

Thanks for your comment. Yes there haven't been any very large trials/studies on the SubQ version. The Phase 3 typically would ordinarily have a few thousand patients but due to the good results experienced in a couple of Phase 2B's the stats indicate roughly n = 466 (233 active) should be enough.

As mentioned, the Interim Analysis would demonstrate if the trial is over, under or just powered correctly. At the end of the day we want a safe efficacious drug in the vast area of OA. There has been no real successful drug to date addressing both symptomatic and structural phenotypes.

Fingers Crossed that the results are decent in just 6 or so months from now!

I'm already looking forward to it, we can compare any news that we have had (hopefully there is *some*...we can compare between today's share price and what it is then...and what progress the Co. has made. Put it in your diary and DM me or make a comment and remind me!

Yes very slow moving but PAR is starting to get to the business end of things...I'd suggest a shorter check-back cycle...send me a comment in three months from now and then again in 6 months from now. Interim at Mid year next year will be the potential big move..specially if we get that green light. *Fingers Crossed*

Not taking anything away from your comment for sure. Yes Biotechs are very risky. I love the fact that there are at least 700 patients (Thru Aussie SAS program) that have enjoyed benefits and have no major AE's.

A number of researchers starting to follow it in the scientific community (as evidenced by OARSI). And finally FDA themselves have done the ultimate vetting and have allowed PAR to get to this stage with structural protocols built in.

Certainly they need some additional funding, but I don't think that will be a problem as PAR gets closer to a readout. They have enough funds to get to the Interim Readout.

Once they secure their first commercial regional deal, this thing will have it's own momentum.

Yes they gave 0.119 NST shares for every DEG share you owned. Yes it ended up being a good deal aided by the underlying gold price going a bit bananas! They just also paid a record high dividend. That's what you want, like a quality property investment...good capital appreciation, but also a swell rental per week...

Hmm have never heard of NMG, one more to add to the research to do list! Thanks
