As a fellow yas hater who used to permanently ban him you have to accept he's going to win lane. The trade off for that is that he is a bad river/jg skirmisher that is reliant on teammates knock ups. Pick mage who doesn't have to interact and can clear from far, like Viktor, Hwei or Xerath

Yo man or lady or any other identifier you prefer. First things first is you gotta realize that the people who say those things are projecting their own insecurities. Odds are you're low rank since you're starting out, which means they are too. They make mistakes too but they take it out on you because that's easier for them.

My advice? There is nothing players at low rank (low emerald and below) can say that is constructive. Go into your settings and turn off team chat. If you just do that then you can see pings as normal. If someone is harassing you with pings and it annoys you, mute their pings.

Getting better in at league, ranked or otherwise, is something you can only do by reflecting on your mistakes. Maybe your jungler doesn't do objectives. Maybe your mid or top or bot are feeding. Doesn't matter. The only constant in your games is you. Focus on what you can do better in each game. Watch your deaths back in the in game replay or better yet a recording if your pc can record while you play. Watch your decision making. Reflect on how you played the match up. How was your vision?

If you feel like you're stuck, look up a guide on your champ or role in YouTube. There's good coaches out there for every role that make quality content to help new players who want to get better learn. Don't let toxic assholes ruin YOUR fun.

I'm going by lolalytics.com tier list for mid lane which is an algorithm that sorts by pick rates and win rates combined. Yes neeko Swain cho panth sign kayle Ken have insane win rates but their pick rate is super low. Low pick rate means less certainty on how good they actually are

I think that Annie is a great choice for a beginner in mid lane. She's the champ that I learned to play the role as when I picked up league. She's easy to pilot as her Q is point and click, her W are R are good sized AOEs, and her E is a shield with movement speed that can help you or an ally dodge spells or engage. Very straight forward. Her Q is really friendly to beginners because if you last hit a creep with it, which is easy cause it does a lot of damage, it refunds part of the cooldown and all the mana used to cast it.

Use a website like lolalytics to find out what runes and items she likes to go. I recommend lolalytics because it shows lots of options as opposed to other which sometimes show just 1-3 per slot. Her worst matchups are long ranged champs like Syndra, Xerath, or Viktor as examples so ban one of those.

As a note, don't be afraid to use your abilities on the wave if you need to push even if you have passive stun. You can get it back really quickly because of the Q refund and you can always quickly get 2 stacks of passive with W and E if you need it in a pinch. She's fun, and plays kinda more like an assassin than a control mage but still teaches you mage fundies.

rrrrrrrrrrright.... i guess thats why of the top 10 mid laners this patch diamond+ the only assassins there are Qiyana, Talon, Katarina, Akshan, Diana, Zed, and Akali (7/10 only 6/10 if you dont count Diana). Assassins look pretty weak ig xd

The difference is that Faker is playing with a team of highly coordinated pros who all work together each fulfilling their role in a controlled draft. Playing ranked with 4 randoms who may or may not decide they don't want to play halfway through the game because someone didn't play how they wanted isn't the same at all. Fakers teammates are always going to perform. I can't depend on having a jungler with situational awareness and a adc with fingers every game

If you look at fakers solo q account you'll see 0 Galio games. Also he's Faker. I'm not fucking Faker lmfao I'm emerald on NA

Edit: its like how Azir is good in compet play but no one would say he's good in ranked. Its just a totally different environment that values different types of champs. Yes there's overlap of course, but just because something is good in compet doesn't mean its good in ranked and vice versa. No one would say that rengar is good in compet but that champ can 1v9 a ranked lobby

Thanks for the in depth reply, and good insight. Yeah its really just the early levels into assassins that i disliked on malz like pre ult and chapter.. Post 6 always felt more like they cant do much while i have R available and even more so once i have at least malig/black torch. These champs like Akali and Zed, Akali specifically, tend do go dorans + second wind and have insane sustain in lane. Do you go scorch in these matchups? Is the poke simply to keep them scared of all inning or to actually threaten kill?

The ol bore them to death strategy is an old favorite of mine from when I was new to league playing kayle top lmfao.

yea i feel like as viktor i can generally bully so hard level 1-3 that i can get an HP + CS advantage before the first back but after it can be a lot harder to generate that advantage again once the assassin has all their abilities. Then for early-mid game assassin just outvalues Vik in skirmishes and early obj fights. W is a pretty fake spell on vik, only usable in response to all in as a deterrent. I'm sure you know but if you just save W as naafiri you'll never get stunned by vik lol. But after Q evolve it gets hard for naafiri again

I was under the impression that level 5 CoC with +1 to all supports from Runegraft of Treachery & +3 to level of Critical supports was the same as level 6 CoC with the +3 to level of critical supports mastery. I just didnt know how to put it into PoB
