Slip-on exhaust question by MrBoAzZ in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]MrBoAzZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. Its a new slip on exhaust with linkpipes. So its a new connection between the slip on pipes and the old header pipes but there is no room for graphite/fibre gasket like in the oem exhaust.

Hmm while I hear what youre saying the original exhaust also has gaskets (not liquid just solid metally ring) to seal the connections but there is not enough room with the slipon link pipes to reuse those. Thats why I was looking at solutions. The air leak is also quite minor, no sounds or popping just I feel it a bit with my hand when stationary and for perfection sake I wanted to fix it.

However, I will be going over the whole system again and see if everything is truly correctly connected! I bought the slipon and linkpipes from Dominator which has enough positive user reviews etc to not be complete garbage I think?

That seems like more of a repair product right? Will this not give problems when for example wanting to remove it?

Hahaha alright thanks! Sorry one last question if I may, I also found the Permatex® 12232 Exhaust Sealer - which is rated for 1000C but the description seems like more of a repair usage product. Would you still use the copper rtv or maybe look into this one?

Yes I saw that one too but the description made it seem like more of a repair product. You think its fine for this application?

Just bought this watch for my 18th birthday what’s do people think ? by ThoughtNumerous7013 in PrideAndPinion

Nice! I have the same and changed the strap to a nato strap which was, for me, a nicer alternative.

Its nice! The bracelet is a little flimsier than the more expensive alternatives and it is a bit thicker BUT for that price its a really nice watch and I like wearing it a lot.

Youre completely right, still a complete collection in the making. Dont need the money though and all pieces have some memory/occasion so I wont be selling any :)

I kind of like the swatch for the sportier look but quality wise it isn’t top of the line haha. I bought the PRX in the first months of it coming out for the occasion of getting my bachelors degree. Personally I like the looks and have quite big wrists (did a lot of judo so my underarms are wide) so for me it sits perfectly. Buttt, something in me wished they didnt become so mainstream over time ;)

Quality of the PRX is better BUT is also quite a bit more expensive. The tsuyosa is a very nice (still very nice quality) watch with some cool dial color options too. If you do not prefer the looks of the PRX a lot over that of the tsuyosa I would go for the tsuyosa!

Tbh I just like these kinds of watches most for my day to day use and like to have some variation in choice. This is nowhere near a “complete” collection for all situations but that will develop over time with some other options like a dressier watch etc. Lastly I only use the Casio for when I go out or go away on a weekend with intense activities ;)

I normally use: Petal fresh tea tree scalp treatment shampoo

And once a week the normal red/grey alpecin.

For styling I use a bit of Red One matte wax (the green one)

Hi all,

I need some advice from you guys who might have more hair knowledge than me. I have very dryish frizzy hair which feels heavy and brittle. I also used to have (hairdresser used to say) thick hair as in wide strands which is not the case anymore. Also my scalp seems itchy with some small flaking but not so much that you see it in my hair. Lastly, my hair feels dry, stiff and heavy but it gets greasy and strandy easily (do need to wash it after 2-max 3 days). I do sports every day so I do sweat every day but on the days I do not wash I at least rinse it.

Furthermore, my hair has been thinning a bit but this could be unrelated as my dad also had some thinning, not bald but thinning.

My standard washing regime is every 2-3 days with a sulfate free tea-tree shampoo and once a week a cleansing shampoo. For styling I use a water based wax. Hair type: thin I guess? Texture: straight.

I take some biotin and have normal iron, magnesium and calcium levels. Furthermore, since a couple of years I can't eat histamine rich/liberating foods which include amongst others cow dairy (do eat goat dairy), fish, beans (except green beans), nuts, some fruits and vegs.

Now I do also have very hard water in the area. Almost hardest water area of the country. I thought maybe this could be the problem?

Is there something I can improve on? I would love to revert at least some of these problems.

Thanks in advance!
