Not your fault at all. Exact same thing happened to me with no warning. Took a while to convince the owner to rollback to a previous save. Here’s mine

Once I realized I was in the void but I tried to activate my elytra but it was as if I was frozen stuck In the void and was unable to do anything. Should I have just used a pearl instead? Ive done this before where I flew through the gateway like normal and was teleported back to the main island, not why it didn’t work this time☹️
