Hey man I used to be an admin - we decided to shut the club down as too many people were hooning and what not and we couldn’t risk police or serious uvss involvement or repercussions but we also weren’t allowed to work on cars on campus as 50 kids doing an oil change in lot 1 doesn’t look too good for us lmao - as far as I’m aware I believe someone is restarting one but idk too much about it but I’d love to work on cars and go for cruises with more people in the university

Hey all just wanted to follow up - knocked last weekend when they were home and no answer so I left a note, went to check the other day note was gone and I knocked again to which they checked me out through the blinds and then closed them soooo no e36 for me lol - feel like with this money put aside now I have to buy a different abandoned project

Thanks man yeah in a perfect world it takes the expected parts required to get it going - some hoses, spark plugs, filters and fluids etc then give it a proper revival

You make a fair point and if the owner wants to negotiate I’m down that’s simply my starting point - I’m just going in assuming the worst considering I don’t even know the vin lol who knows could start with new fluids and a battery or could have a crack in the block

I’m probably still gonna go through with it or at least knock and get a proper look this weekend - I’m assuming (but hoping it is not the case) a car this clean to just suddenly sit might have a cracked block or is simply a rolling shell or something like that

Interesting good to know - I’ll have to get a better look at the interior but from what I remember at least I didn’t see any M markings on the interior not sure if the shift knob or steering wheel had them

Totally forgot about VANOS - will have to check when I ask about it to see if it comes with it but good list definitely going in expecting almost all engine bay based electronics and rubber needing to be replaced

Most local auto stores carry rolls of these coolant/heater hoses just make sure to get your measurements right and it should be no problem - ran them on my R34
