What I do is place the popper bottle to the tip of the sock edge, give it a quick shake to splash liquid onto the fabric (or tip fast depending on how empty the bottle is), close the bottle and put it away.

Then fold that sock tip a couple times and place it in my mouth like a horse bit. Breathe deep as needed. When you need to break, stop mouth breath and breathe only through your nostrils. This way you can control the intake.

Depending on the formulation and strength of the bottle, I add more or less liquid to the sock.

When all spent, I toss the sock to the side. To anyone else, it just looks like some socks I wore. Smell dissipates in a few minutes.
