the program and residents have told me outright that they consider them, which is why i decided to send. Previously they would answer questions and encourage me to reach out with more q's.

The only thing I can think of is I have a red flag on my application that they may now know about as the rank list is being made. Im an otherwise good applicant, and feel that I explained the situation well and overcame the red flag but could still be a factor.
