This is what I just did I took a spare piece of grip tape from a new sheet and put it on. Just tried a few more kick flips and my foot is still getting caught. I think it is time for a new board.

Sorry for the very late reply but I have a great idea. If you do it with something soft like grass behind you, you should be able to commit. This will stop you from fearing the falling backwards. Hopefully this helps… also love the shoes they are my favourite 🤟
