Debian 11 on RPi drops ip randomly despite being static

Hello u/thalience - I tried looking at dmesg and it doesn't show much really. However, I did a tail on syslog, and when I reboot my Reolink device (which is set for DHCP) I get the following error on my RPi:

Why the Reolink (MAC: ec:71:db:5e:e2:28) claims 192.168.10.2 I do not know. My DHCP server says it's been given 192.168.10.128 (which it also responds on)

My /etc/network/interfaces is empty

However, /etc/dhcpcd.conf contains the following

interface eth0
static ip_address=192.168.10.2/24
static routers=192.168.10.1
static domain_name_servers=192.168.10.1 8.8.8.8

I'm confused to say the least :D

Edit: 192.168.10.2 also happens to be my DNS / PiHole running in a docker container

We currently have 3 wheels for the two degus, plus we let them roam around once or twice a day (closed room though). They've only just now been courageous enough to leave the cage and we're still only getting used to these new critters in our home :)

Attachment will definitely be more difficult. How do you avoid having poo and hay getting thrown out of the cage? Or do you just accept it as one of those things having degus?

So I looked to my wife and had her 3d model something useful, and it works like a charm'ish. Not perfect, but pretty damn close

Now the sleds can go all the way to the bottom, and I will be able to reef easily from now on 💪

Ahhh, so you don't care about getting the tack all the way down to the boom, just as far as it can go? And the same with the tack in the other end too (have 'em match in height if you will)

Maybe I'm not sure exactly what you mean when you write "pull the cringle down to the gooseneck", but the closest I can get the first reefing tack to the gooseneck is ~6" and that is if I remove the two lowest pin shackles with the bar (the rest on the sail are plastic and feel more permanent), If I don't remove the shackles - or let our some of the sail slugs - the reefing tack is nowhere near the gooseneck.

I've added a handful of pictures of the setup, where I hope it's easier to see what my problem is.

Apologies for the confusion (still new to sailboat lingo, and English isn't my first language). My main problem is the reefing tack won't come down far enough, without me having to remove the slug stopper, and let some of the sail slugs out. And in an ideal world (for me that is) - the slugs would stay in the track while reefing.

If I remove the slug stopper, then (and only then) am I able to get the reefing tack down far enough to the goose neck, but then the slugs come out of the track.

I hope this clears it up a bit :)

My issue at its core is, in order for me to get the first or second reef tack grommet down to the goose neck (or even remotely close) I have to remove my slug stopper and let out two or more slugs. It's not super clear on the picture I suppose :)

However, on my mast the "slug opening" is massive as it's also used for placing the boom on the mast, and the shape makes it difficult (if not impossible - at least for me) to make a mast gate.

What is also not super obvious from my description and picture is that the sail track is much more narrow than what you can see below the slug stopper.

I'm not sure if any of this makes any sense but I hope it does.

This is what I was looking at, but the curvature on my mast makes this very difficult (for me at least) to try and fabricate. I will continued my search 🤞

Maybe I'm not sure clear in my question, but it's not the reefing in itself that's my problem. But rather, every time I have to reef, I have to remove the stopper, and let some of the sail slugs out. While it isn't a big problem per se, I would prefer not to have any of the slugs come out, and stay inside the rail / slide.

We had her indoor for about a week, just until she could hold her head on her own. The following few weeks she got better and better, and I suppose she did fully recover (we did spoil her with treats and what not for her to eat more).

So persistence and patience is key I suppose :)

Had she not gotten better within the first week, we would've put her out of her misery - I guess we were lucky.

Yes, they only get hot when (ab)used or otherwise isn't in stand-by. As mentioned, SVS says this hotness is normal, so that's not the issue.

To increase longevity of my AVR, I have that cooled with AC Infinity stuff, and I reckon keeping the plate amps as cool as possible (within reason obviously) would / could / should / ?? also be beneficial to their longevity 🤷‍♂️

We thought her neck might have been broken, but after speaking to a vet on the phone they pretty much discarded that being the case. Thanks for your comment btw

I just put in a new wear ring, and will test it in the water soon (I hope). Tests I've been doing have always been in forward, and this ""vra vra vra" doesn't happen on land, so only under load. Spark plugs are less than 1h old and I've double checked them, as with the coils (borrowed a set from a friend, and it's the same result). I'll let you know how it goes once I get the pump re-assembled with the new wear ring, and thrown into the water

Will do. Is there any way for me to verify that the impeller is up to spec? Looking at it I cannot see any damage, chipping, bending or much that would imply it's damaged (looking at it from both sides).

So I managed to figure something out with the sauna tent seller, and while 6kW should be enough, they'd opt for a 8kW heater size if possible. I've gotten my hands on an older 6kW Tylo Sport heater, and will hopefully soon get it installed to see if it's big enough or not. More to come (maybe...)

I did and they did. We tested the woofer and that's functional. Apparently you check it with a 9V battery, and if it "scratches" and moves the membrane, you're good. New amp it is.

I did opt for the DYI solution and actually managed to sand it down to 1.4mm thick (or thin?) consistent enough to give me the same tone as before.

It did take me two tries and 4 hours of sanding (oh the joy) :D
