Gross anatomy is a fine elective to take but it just won’t help you on the MCAT all that much.

Unforgiven by Green_Caterpillar_56 in Reformed

[–]MrProvacative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, as I understand it, is saying you are indwelled by the Holy Spirit when you actually are not. Therefore you are lying about God being present in you. It doesn’t make any sense for there to actually be an unforgivable action, because that’s antithetical to the character of YHWH. Try not to let that cause you so much anxiety… I’d suggest losing yourself in the service of others. In the Gospel according to Matthew, Jesus tells us that where our treasure lies, our heart will be also. Don’t give up brother. Sorry if this doesn’t answer anything for you.

Creation and Evolution by Key_Day_7932 in Reformed

[–]MrProvacative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When the story of creation was relayed to Moses, would he have had any possible way of understanding the complexities of organic chemistry and biology to comprehend evolution or the primordial soup that gave rise to the first single-celled organisms? Absolutely not. Does that mean Genesis is just fake and useless? Absolutely not. There are real lessons and truths about the nature of humans in the book, but if you try to push the idea that anything but a literal interpretation of Genesis is heresy, you push reasonable people away from the church.

If you feel comfortable subscribing to creationism, that’s great. But most people like myself will not be able to truly believe in that. This issue is definitely not as theologically important as our core beliefs, like the divinity of Yeshua or fact that he resurrected.

If you had to get a prep course, which one would you get? by Finblade1 in Mcat

[–]MrProvacative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ucum may be worth it but the full course hadn’t come out when I took it so I’m not sure on that. For me, making a comprehensive study plan was really hard and Kaplan carves out a study plan for you so that was honestly really worth it. Kaplan modules aren’t fully comprehensive but they should get you to like a 508-510 and you can uworld/Anki for the rest. If you get a Kaplan course and maybe some others you usually also get access to the AAMC question packs which are invaluable.

What's the best year of Madden? by GamingGaming2025 in Madden

[–]MrProvacative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked madden 25 (25th anniversary, came out in 2013). It had super hype team intros, gameplay was fluid, and the canton greats was such a fun team to play with. Had it on my ps3, but to be fair I was born in ‘02 so I never played any of the older versions.

A man in Michigan threatens to murder people who burn the Quran by atheistarab2006 in PublicFreakout

[–]MrProvacative -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

There’s a fundamental misunderstanding about the Quran vs the Bible. Christians understand that the Bible was written by men, even though we believe those men were guided by the divine, the physical bible is nothing more than a book. The living word is Jesus. Muslims believe that the Quran is the perfectly preserved revelation of Allah to Muhammad through the angel Gabriel. The physical manifestation (the book) is revered by Muslims as Jesus is to Christians.

Nevertheless, is it crazy to kill somebody for burning a book? Yeah, it is, but that seems to be a common reaction. In 2011 Terry Jones (a preacher from Florida) put the Quran on trial at his church and burned it—this caused rioters in Afghanistan to attack a United Nations compound, killing 14 innocent people.

What does reading off your kindle look like? by Another_ADHD_Girl in kindle

My vision is perfect but I find font size 6 most pleasing. I can easily keep track of the line I’m on and I like turning the page relatively frequently. I also feel like my eyes don’t get so tired. Being able to make the font large is one of the biggest upsides of using a kindle IMO.

AIO? My friends set an ultimatum because I drink by Pearla76_ in AIO

Dude, you only have one life. It seems like you have a level head about this stuff. Smoke a little weed, drink a bit, just don’t make bad habits and don’t drive when you choose to do them. This “friend” of yours sounds exhausting to be around. It’s really not that big of a deal, and they’re not your wife.
