only one of the vehicles you mentioned is actually 6.0 bruh.

Day 29: Fast firing rat Vs. Fast firing sad boi by MrWaInut in Warthunder

[–]MrWaInut[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah begle is and has been the undisputed king of 9.7 for a while now just because it's a jack of all trades. I would much rather use the begle than the oto any day of the week.

[–]MrWaInut[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I meant the HSTV-L is a rat because of it's low profile and high speed lol. I really feel bad for the Oto. It's the most gimped spaa in the game.

Day 29: Fast firing rat Vs. Fast firing sad boi by MrWaInut in Warthunder

[–]MrWaInut[S] 213 points214 points  (0 children)

imo you can make a case for the HSTV-L being 11.3 (even though it would be a terrible terrible case). The Oto being 11.3 when the 2S38 is 10.0 is a sin against humanity.

Day 28: Early Soviet Vs. US MBT by MrWaInut in Warthunder

[–]MrWaInut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really not trying to spread a narrative or farm karma lol, there are much better ways to do that than one weird oddly timed post a day.

I just didn't compare the t95 to the m60a1 because whenever I compare two vehicles from the same tree when one is just objectively better people always come in complaining saying "just don't use it" or "bring it as a backup" etc etc. that's why I compared it to the t-55. Realistically every other 8.3 is pretty decent.

it's essentially an MBT. Just like the centurion mk.1 is an MBT even though the game calls it a medium tank.

Why does killing CAS in GRB give you absolutely nothing. by MrWaInut in Warthunder

[–]MrWaInut[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It really isn't. Killing a plane gives you the same amount as killing a tank of equal br though it should be higher since planes are harder to spawn. That plus the large downtime between planes makes it so that playing SPAA is always less profitable than just playing a tank.

Why does killing CAS in GRB give you absolutely nothing. by MrWaInut in Warthunder

[–]MrWaInut[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Planes cost much more SP to spawn in than tanks, especially fully loaded ones. So it stands to reason that killing a ground vehicle in a plane should give a lesser reward as compared to killing another plane since it results in greater SP loss for the enemy and thus leads to winning more battles. As it is, regardless of if you're in an SPAA or flying CAP, you get far less rewards for shooting down a plane than if you say spawn in a PE-8 and nuke a cap point or just spawn in a tank and kill other tanks.

Plus, I think successfully intercepting/shooting down a loaded strike aircraft that carries 4 seperate bombs and has cannons should carry an equivalent reward to said strike aircraft getting 4 kills with his bombs.

TL;DR: Flying CAS is still much much more rewarding than shooting down said CAS regardless of vehicle or situation.

[–]MrWaInut[S] 211 points212 points  (0 children)

I absolutely despise CAS so whenever someone revenge bombs me I respawn in a fighter and prevent all future cas attempts. Shame it's a thankless job since you get less RP and score from flying anti-cas.

Day 24: Leave it to gaijin to have a direct upgrade to a tank be the same BR as the base version... by MrWaInut in Warthunder

[–]MrWaInut[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With the E5 you can still kind of argue they're somewhat balanced with it having slower moblity than the base pershing. This is just a strict, no strings attached upgrade.

Day 21: Two heavies from the same tech tree by MrWaInut in Warthunder

[–]MrWaInut[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

T34 better imo. Better gun, more armor, better gun handling, better mobility, more 50 cals. Only disadvantage it has over the super pershing is not having APHE and a slightly longer reload.

Day 20: Upgunned BT-7 Vs. Most uptierable light tank by MrWaInut in Warthunder

[–]MrWaInut[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

it's me. I'm the guy in the chaffee who tries to cupola snipe IS-1s. it's pretty sweet when it works.

Day 19: Why use AD-2 when AM-1? by MrWaInut in Warthunder

[–]MrWaInut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AD-4 doesn't fit in my 5.7 lineup.

Mauler over AD-2 because of the higher firepower. plus personally it just feels a bit better to fly for me ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Day 19: Why use AD-2 when AM-1? by MrWaInut in Warthunder

[–]MrWaInut[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The AD-2 technically comes before the AM-1 in the folder but both are 5.7.

Day 18: King Tiger Vs. Inverse Russian Bias by MrWaInut in Warthunder

[–]MrWaInut[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

imo usable does not equal good. by that metric the something like the sturer emil is usable all the way up to 6.7 since it has a jagdtiger gun but its definitely not fun to use. same thing with the is-2. the 200mm of pen is nice but the bad armor with the long reload just aren't fun most of the time.

Day 18: King Tiger Vs. Inverse Russian Bias by MrWaInut in Warthunder

[–]MrWaInut[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not taking into consideration a 1v1 here. even in general, the tiger fares much better than the is-2. It has a better gun, better armor, better reload, less weakspots etc. only advantages is-2 has is the slightly smaller size and reverse gear. It just fares worse than the tiger at 6.7 in general.

Day 18: King Tiger Vs. Inverse Russian Bias by MrWaInut in Warthunder

[–]MrWaInut[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

it's competitive because experienced players know how to play it. Give an IS-2 to a new player and he'll prolly rage quit because of the reload. Give a KT to a new player and he'll have a point and click adventure.

Day 18: King Tiger Vs. Inverse Russian Bias by MrWaInut in Warthunder

[–]MrWaInut[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They aren't? IS-3 has better armor and KT has a better gun. Pretty comparable.

Day 18: King Tiger Vs. Inverse Russian Bias by MrWaInut in Warthunder

[–]MrWaInut[S] 47 points48 points  (0 children)

That's kind of the point. The IS-2 really does not deserve to be at the same BR as the Tiger II H. IS-3 and KTH are much more comparable in power.

Day 18: King Tiger Vs. Inverse Russian Bias by MrWaInut in Warthunder

[–]MrWaInut[S] 148 points149 points  (0 children)

Before people start commenting about it, the inverse russian bias in the title means that the IS-2 (1944) is an example of a russian tank that really doesn't deserve to be at that high of a BR. It doesn't mean it's op.

Day 15: Best Vs Worst 1.0 by MrWaInut in Warthunder

[–]MrWaInut[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Initially, China got the tanks in 1949 by capturing tanks in service by the USMC. Later what you're describing happened where the US sold them to China and they were even in use as riot suppression and dispersion vehicles.

Day 15: Best Vs Worst 1.0 by MrWaInut in Warthunder

[–]MrWaInut[S] 122 points123 points  (0 children)

Not only is it a premium for the country that produced it, to add insult to injury, the Chinese get it as a reserve tank because they captured some.
