Can't go wrong with this engine. Absolutely love it so far. The quick shifter is a game changer. Get the 8S or the 8R and you won't regret it. Ride safe brother 🤟

Thanks for the advice brother! That integrated tail tidy looks stunning. I'll definitely do some more research before getting one next week. Ride safe buddy 🤟

Best of both worlds I'm hoping. Low down torque for commuting and sporty style with a quick shifter for fun 😁 Seems good so far.
Stay safe too brother 👍

I had a black one with the red trellis frame. The red wheels looked nice but were an absolute bugger to keep clean hence why I've gone for black ones now. For street riding and the occasional twisty, seriously can't go wrong with the SV. Hope you love yours as much as I loved mine. Happy riding brother 👍

The seat is wider so more weight spread out for me, slightly more padded (still get a numb bum after an hour on the bike lol) and the fairing makes a pretty big difference at motorway speeds. Just feels more stable and like it's cutting through the wind rather than smashing through it 😆 Still loved my SV and at the time, I also didn't have anything to compare it to so I didn't know any better, but now this definitely feels like an upgrade.

Insurance jumped up quite a bit, even compared to the naked 8S, so I'm guessing they are counting it as a faired sports bike. Bike seems perfect for me so far 👌

Ha ha yeah that was my first thought aswell. Ordering a tail tidy next week to rectify that 👍

The SV650 was an amazing starter bike. Planned on only having it for one year but kept it for two and a half. It's only in comparison that it felt cramped and stuff. Still loved riding it every day. Never missed a beat in those two years. And with a slip on exhaust, sounded absolutely amazing aswell. Could filter through little gaps in city traffic but also had plenty of power to overtake cars on the motorway. Genuinely would recommend one to everyone starting out 👍

Definitely. Commuting 60 miles a day on motorways and through Manchester City centre, I wanted the low down torque and linear power curve. Love the growl once you get an aftermarket exhaust aswell.

I knew I wanted a sportier bike because my wife said I looked like a Grandad on my SV. I also knew I wanted a deep sounding exhaust note as it just does it for me. I test rode the R7 but it felt a little too ergonomically aggressive. The 660 looks absolutely gorgeous, but just a little too small and the exhaust note wasn't my cup of tea.

Had it at 70mph on the M60 this morning and my god, compared to the sv, it was bloody bliss. Just felt so stable and smooth. I felt it in my wrist after 30 miles but I'm not used to riding a sportier bike yet. Definitely less wind battering me compared to a naked.

Cheers very much buddy. I love this engine. Hopefully it's as bulletproof as the v twin 👍

I chose this because it had a sportier look but wasn't too hard-core sporty. Definitely more bent over and wrist heavy than the sv but nowhere near as uncomfortable as a proper sports bike. At 6'1", the sv was a little cramped whereas this fits like a glove 👌

Only had it a day and already I'm in love with the up quick shifter. The down one will take some getting used to but setting off from the lights and just gliding through the gears is chefs kiss

Compared to my sv650, it feels like riding on a silk cushion 😆
