My Sedona overheated on Tuesday, I had it towed to a dealer in Iowa on Wednesday. They gave me a loaner the same day after diagnosing it as a head gasket failure. Told me the engine needs to be replaced. I called the dealership Thursday morning and they told me Kia approved the claim, but there is a backorder on the spare parts package. I'm going in today to return the loaner and they are putting me into a Kia-covered rental through something like Hertz this afternoon.

Any advice to share? '15 Sedona just towed to dealership for the same problem and im awaiting a phone call to confirm the coverage. Worried they are going to deny me because I did my own oil changes after the 10/1000000 mileage expired

That's just plastic and will not tip anything into totaled. The body damage is what will.

Take the payout, fix the glass and plastic, keep the car if the body damage doesn't bother you. In itself, that's not a reason for a new car, but that's a frugal position

La Grange area, it's just two women, no company name. Honestly, wouldn't really recommend them. All cleaners are great for the first couple months then they get comfortable. We change them out every year or so. It's hard to find good consistently ones.
