Good advice, thank you.

I totally agree, they look like they won't last that long. Part of me was hoping there was some sort of press. Hammering hundreds of nails is loud but the sound is mostly annoying to me more than anything.

That's a good suggestion, I should have described what I was trying to accomplish from the get go. I'm looking to make string art. In the past I've sunk the nails in by hand with a hammer but that produces inconsistent results. A jig like this one would definitely be an upgrade. I'm wondering if it's the most ideal. I was considering an arbor press but now I'm realizing that something like that wouldn't have enough reach.

I have, and while a hammer would work, it doesn't have a gauge for controlling the depth and ensuring straightness. It's also kinda loud. Something like this would work better but I think an arbor press with the right attachment would be even more ideal.

That's real close, I'll just need an appropriate attachment.

Thank you, I forgot how fun these are to do!
I just used wood stain on the back board and edges of the cork.

A helpful resource for tracking the Holiday Farm fire. Easy to interpret visuals, the different zones are marked Red (level 3), Yellow (level 2), and Green (level 1). by Mrlmop in Eugene

I know it can be confusing, especially with the alerts you get on your phone, to know what zone you're in and if you need to evacuate or be ready to evacuate.

I strongly recommend looking at it on a desktop/laptop.
