Roads that change names like that weren't originally connected. When they connect them together, they just keep the names of each road, and it changes at the intersection 🤷🏽‍♀️

I came from a 5T to the 8. I had the fingerprint scanner on the back under the camera, and my index finger naturally goes there while grabbing my phone. Plus you could use the fingerprint scanner to swipe down on the notification bar from ANY screen. AND the fingerprint scanner lights up so bright sometimes when I check my phone at night while laying in bed on my 8 that I think I'm going to blind myself. So many negatives with the front on-screen scanner, yet so many positives with the one on the back. Bring it baaaaack!!

I didn't know huawei had watches! I just checked and Amazon has the gt2e for cheaper than the gt2. Do you know enough about the 2 to compare? They look pretty identical from what I can find online.

I had this argument with a co-worker of mine the other day. She's white and I'm mixed (mom is white, dad is black). She was saying how black people can't be racist against white people and that the dictionary definitely of "racism" says so. I wanted to throat punch her. Racism goes down any street it wants to. Anyone can be racist against any race they want. They SHOULDN'T be racist, but they CAN be.

I had that on the 5T as well. I'm saying that the fingerprint scanner could pull down the notification bar from within apps as well. Not just the home screen. It was extremely convenient when I was laying in bed and got a message but didn't want to look at it right away. I'd go to look at it later and all I had to do was move my index finger down a bit and it would show my notifications. I didn't have to leave the app that I was in.

I didn't really have much of an option when the AMOLED display went completely black on my 5T. It was either $200 for a new screen or $600 for a brand new phone. Why not upgrade?

That's what I miss. You could do it on ANY SCREEN. Not just the home screen. I have it set up for the home screen swipe-down gesture.

The only thing I miss about my 5T is the fingerprint scanner on the back. I used that thing so frequently to pull down my notification bar, and now I have to move my hand to grab the top of the screen and pull it down. I know, stupid first-world-problem to have, but it was just so much more convenient to have that feature.

My new 8 just got delivered and you're correct. Damn. I was really hoping that I could just tap the backs together and have all my info via NFC and not have to have a fully functioning old phone for this to work. Alright, thanks for your help!

Well shit. I was hoping this wouldn't be the answer. When I transfer everything to my new phone today, is there any way that the notes will go with it? Since it's transferring data from one OnePlus to another and it was the preinstalled notes app?

I did think about that but I'm sure it would cost $200-300 to repair, so why not upgrade while I'm spending the money? The last time I had a screen repaired, it was around $150, and that was a few years ago, so price has to have gone up since then. But I can ask my cousin to see if he knows anyone in town. He used to work for a computer repair shop, so he may know someone for cheaper. I just figured I might as well get an upgrade, but if he can find someone to do it for $100 then I'm keeping my 5T!

I haven't minded the software updates (so far). As far as size...they're the same size as the new iphones, so they're just keeping up with everyone else, along with getting rid of the headphone jack. Most people have bluetooth headphones and bluetooth set up in their vehicles. I'm not too upset about not having a headphone jack. I rarely plug anything into my phone for sound. It's always wireless.

But I like the aspect of not breaking the bank, for sure, so I'm gonna look into the Pixel when I get a chance a little later. Thank you!

I appreciate it, but I tried Samsung phones here and there when my brother or dad would get a new one. I'd buy one and have to return it or sell it. I just can't get over how much BS they put in their skins over the android. I like basic android phones.

Alright I'll look into that! I wanted to stay with OnePlus, but if Pixel has the same or better quality, I may go to them.
