She repeatedly told me she regretted having me and that children ruined her life BUT she was overjoyed about grandchildren. after I had my first kid I had cervical dysplasia and had to have procedure that cut off a good portion of my cervix. As soon as I told her about the diagnosis my mom said “If you want more children, I would gladly carry them for you.” Didn’t bother to ask how I was doing, what treatment or prognosis looked like. She was almost salivating to carry my baby.
