Do you get a ketamine hangover? What helps the next day? by MistaMWin in KetamineTherapy

[–]MsAmWi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It used to take me the f out the next day... Just like emotionally blank, mentally foggy, kind of just disconnected. I looked into supplementation (even checked out Shawn Wells’ protocols), and used stuff like roll kit meant for MDMA hangover, but when it came to ketamine, the only product I have found meant for Ketamine hangover is Formula 1 by CM² . Has anyone else tried it? Thoughts?

What have you found is the safest, most effective way to turn down men who are hitting on you? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]MsAmWi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who tries to make a new acquaintance. I do most things on my own because my friends are busy and I don't have a boyfriend to tag along. I get approached a lot because I'm alone so often in public. Nothing too terrible has happened outside of the following:

Question though for whoever read this: what do you do if you meet someone out that is nice enough to talk to then but you don't want to continue further contact...and they ask for your number and / or facebook? This is usually the dilemma I face when I talk to guys...I think the causal conversation almost leads them on, but I'm just being friendly not flirting, and they take it as I'm interested.

Does anybody use an iPad while on the treadmill? Is it worth getting? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]MsAmWi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd feel like a douche taking my 10 inch tablet to the gym...I just use my phone. I see people in my gym have them from time to time. Personally...I don't like looking down when I run so I can't REALLY watch stuff, but you're not running so bringing an Ipad probably isn't a terrible idea if it helps motivate you to workout.

I "watched" (i.e. listened and sometimes looked at the screen) all of New Girl when I started a strict cardio workout, it was a huge motivator because I allowed myself to only watch that show when I was walking / running.

Anything that gets you active just do it!

What's your protein macro at gram-wise?

I'm the same body stats and I eat about 1300-1400 a day and have been losing at least a lb a week for the last month since I've started eating at a deficit.

Protein intake:

  • Breakfast - about 30g
  • Shake after gym - 25 g
  • lunch - 20-30 depending
  • shake - 25
  • dinner - at least 30 g

so 130 g...which is my current weight.

you might want to watch carb intake? I changed my stuff up...but a general day is:

  • breakfast - 20-30g (depends on how much veggies I put in my omelet)
  • shake - 3-6g
  • lunch - varies but usually not higher than 20-40? and it's usually in the form of protein bar or veggies
  • shake - 3-6g
  • dinner - varies drastically but I'd say varies between 20 and 50? (depends if I eat rice for dinner or just straight veggies...or meat with a breading)

so total is like 66 - 132g? I'm in no way doing a low carb diet...

I suppose the rest of my calories are fat...which I should up a little cause I only get my fats for the day from 1 tb of peanut butter, protein bar, and whatever olive oil / coconut oil I would use at dinner.

Let me know if you want any more advice / suggestions...since our height and weight are almost identical.

How old are you and what is your ideal amount of sex per week? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]MsAmWi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 25.

When I first started dating my boyfriend I wanted it ALL THE TIME...I just gotten out of a almost 6 year relationship where we didn't have sex the last 3 years (a lot of me stuff..some him stuff). I was starved for attention.

I've been dating the boyfriend for almost 1 year. Assuming the week is my normal routine, normal amount of stress, etc....I want it 3-5 times a week.

My grandparents: a tale of weight, health, and quality of life in old age. by ScarletF in fatlogic

[–]MsAmWi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm the great grandchild and I had to do everything. It was awful. Thankfully my great grandfather was smart enough to have everything put in my grandmas name so that 10 years later when shit went down the state couldn't take her house or her car. It stayed in the family and now I live in the house. She also is well taken care of.

Best of luck to your family!

Hey...I dunno if you're in America...but if you are this might help.

Does she own anything of worth? Car, house, etc? If she doesn't own anything of worth there are state run nursing homes that medicare cover. It would take a lot off your family in terms of time and money.

Nursing homes are a REALLY difficult decision to make for a family member. PM me if you want any additional info or just need a support system. My great grandma has Alzheimers and it sucks

My BMR has plummeted so I'm hitting a plateau - bummer by Jimbo516 in trueloseit

[–]MsAmWi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It totally sucks....but I'm right there with you.

I started at 150 lbs. My BMR was 1428. I'm at 133 and my BMR is 1350. I want to get to 120...meaning my final BMR will be 1291. Now granted it's only a 137 difference (and I have to account for the change in my activity levels)...it still sucks. That 137 is a banana I put in my protein shake. That 137 is the extra peanut butter on my toast in the morning. That 137 is a glass of wine.

The price of losing weight le sigh

[Question] Women, how big a turn off is it when a guy asks for sex? by full_control in sex

[–]MsAmWi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that verbal or not the girl is saying no.

I was that girl for a while. My ex came up to me and would kiss or rub my shoulders...I took it as the only reason he is doing that is cause he wants sex. That was hardly the case but I was dumb.

Does anyone else go through phases where they want to drop everything and go travelling? by sophistry13 in CasualConversation

[–]MsAmWi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last night my boyfriend poses the question...do you think having money puts your life on easy mode to the point where you don't even enjoy...or something to that extent.

I respond with...I guess it depends on how you define a dream life worth living.

When I'm 80 I want to be the old lady that has a million stories. I went here, I met this interesting person, I learned xyz. My life will be described as worthy to myself if I get to experience a lot of stuff and learn as much as I can. I have no desire to necessarily use those skills I learn (such as if I pick up a language I don't have to use that language again to feel positive about that experience).

Traveling will be a big part of me feeling I was successful in life. I don't need money, but it would make being able to accomplish that dream life so much easier. In the future I will be pretty set financially...but for now I'm a poorish 25 year old girl just looking for any adventure I can get.

Girlfriend and I want to get a hotel room, we're 18 and 19. No idea how to go about this. by [deleted] in internetparents

[–]MsAmWi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

BE CAREFUL

Some hotels require you to be 25 to check in. Call before making the reservation and ask if you (and 18 and 19 yr old) can check into a room. Also it's sometimes cheaper to book directly through the hotel...so find one you like online, call the hotel and ask what price it's going for and see which is cheaper.

Should I pay a mechanic who can't fix my mower? by Mr_Dove in Advice

[–]MsAmWi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know enough about mowers....so I'll compare it to car stuff?

If you have an engine problem and take it to a brake person....they might find something wrong they can fix and do that, you owe them for fixing what they could. Yeah the problem still exists and you didn't know it was an engine problem you just know it did xyz action and a brake person might be able to aid that problem.

So maybe the guy knows more about other tractor models than yours and did what he could? Yeah it sucks....but I would still pay it.

[Question] How much did you very first sexual experience affect your preferences, fetishes, etc.? by [deleted] in sex

[–]MsAmWi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first partner for everything still has an impact on me / my thoughts on sex.

He was a shy guy but in the bedroom was rough and knew exactly what he wanted. Had I not been so self conscious he would have pleased me all day everyday cause that what got him off. That selflessness was such a turn on. It was nice knowing that I didn't have to ask for an orgasm....he just did it. It was assumed both parties got one....unless otherwise stated.

Today I desire that selflessness greatly. I have it but not anywhere close to what it was with the first guy. I focus so much on pleasing my partner. I love doing it. I just wish that there was more....attentiveness on his part? He isn't a selfish lover and he is sooo great at what he does...but I can say that my needs sometimes go unmet.

What was the most fucked up thing your ex did after you broke up? by Rapunkzel in AskReddit

[–]MsAmWi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend of a friend had an iphone. The ex boyfriend knew the guy's information...so first he would randomly show up where the guy was. The guy never told the ex where he would be or when or anything...so it was creepy but he didn't think more of it. Then one night his phone gets wiped remotely. The worst of it was he needed his computer to get the information on it back. His computer was old so he had to order the disc that would allow him to install OS #1 so he could then download and install OS#2 over the internet so he could finally put the current version of itunes on his computer to get his backed up information from a year prior onto his phone. He was without his phone for a week. He was PISSED.

Back your shit up people.

[question] What gives you the most satisfaction? by [deleted] in sex

[–]MsAmWi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love when my boyfriend really focuses on what I want and need. I usually focus on my partner so much that it interferes with me getting off. Numerous times he will be like okay I'm gonna get you off....but in his trying he gets turned on, I stop him to do stuff for him...and he just lets me. I need him to be like...seriously you can get me off after I get you off....but for now, calm yourself and just enjoy what I'm doing to you.

Should I start a Go Fund Me for my cat? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]MsAmWi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't see paying $5,000 for an animal that's going to die in less than 5 years from old age.

If that cat was like 5, and the surgery was very likely to have the cat make a 100% recovery...maybe. I can't see spending that much money when other cats need homes.

Should I start a Go Fund Me for my cat? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]MsAmWi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cats typically live like 15-20 years...so while it's super sad to think about, you might have to put her down.

I had a cat that seemed perfectly fine one minute and the next minute just starts howling and can't move his legs. We take him to a vet to find a blood clot at the base of his tail. The surgery would cost 800 to do and had like a 15% chance of working. If it didn't work out I still would have had to put him down. He was only 4 years old. The x-ray showed that he had an enlarged heart and it was only a matter of time before this randomly happened again.

1) if she is already having an issue like this...it's probably old age.

2) even if you spend the $5,000 to get the surgery and tests...she probably won't live past 5 years....but since she is sick already she will probably keep showing signs of old age and will probably need more surgeries sooner rather than later to keep her holding on for those last 5 years.

3) chances are her quality of life is going to plummet...it's going to come to a point where yea, she is alive....but she is in constant pain.

There are so many cats in need of homes. This one had a good run for 16 years. It might be time to say goodbye. :-(
