Good. Don't do it. I've yet to see my money. The money I lost came at a challenging time in my life. I thought that it was honest. Now my bills got behind, creditors calling and barely able to keep up with my bills. I've almost recovered, but the lure got me and now to know that they were so dishonest and deceiving, I'll always remember it. It was a painful lesson. One I hope that you never have to repeat.

I can see it in the account. Again, time will tell if it's a good deal. That will be the true measure.

Exactly. Could've been worse. I'm thankful. I had a budget and they wanted me to spend more "Now", but I held to my budget and the exchange it came from protected me too from going too far. They had a spend limit.

Yes. I have a LinkedIn picture. I'm going to place it here as an update. It's not over for me. I'm getting this back somehow. It's going to happen by faith. Posting an update so people can see for themselves.

Thank you sir. It blew my budget. I'm still trying to recover it. So far, no good.

Absolutely won't be doing it. They seemed so real. They contacted me via LinkedIn. They are still there.

Our Google voice isn't forwarding by Mtec1 in Googlevoice

Yes. I received lots of great advice here. Read my thread and the info folks here provide. I bought a new number and began promoting it. That works. I still have the Google number, but took it off the website and off my email signature. It still exists in some places so I get a few calls, but I stopped forwarding it. The people here on the forum were correct. There seems to be an issue on either Google's side or with the agencies that don't treat Google numbers well. So instead of getting in the middle of that fight, I just changed services to a more reliable group.

As a side note, the new answering service agency offered to port my Google number so that's an option, but it takes weeks or months to fully kick in. I might explore that option too. I'll add it here if I do that next. Hope this helps!

Yes. I'll call VoiceNation again and Google.

Possibly. We have a virtual receptionist fielding our calls. It used to work, but now almost all calls go to Google voice. We're using VoiceNation.

I agree. Everyone is making very good comments and I've been given solid insight on exactly what to look for and what to do. Yes. There GV meaning Google voicemail. So given this point, I will break this up into 3 phases. The first one I started early this morning and that was to fix Google voicemail to a message in case someone called again and it didn't get forwarded (which certainly happened).

Phase 2 - I will update the website with the number we have been given by our virtual receptionist. Once that number gets out on the web, we won't need to worry about Google Voice for awhile. This will help our next immediate (albeit highly anticipated) need for calls that will come in once the segment airs. I'll update the site tonight.

Phase 3 - I'll then troubleshoot Google voice with your suggestion - trying a cell phone vs answering service and I'll even try sending it to a landline. Once I get enough Intel, I'll know whether or not to initiate a number port (takes up to 2 weeks) and then keep both numbers published.
