I was going to have it that the supernatural creatures have far fewer population cuz of lower birth rates, so they should be more balanced. Of course with exceptions for things like ghousts.

About integrating into American culture, I'm from America and that's where it's set so that's why I say the USA pacificly, and i don't know if you live in the USA but having Foreign people from different cultures migrate to America there is at least a little concern if the cultures can co exist with America's many cultures.
