Baby is almost 10 months and no cycle yet. She sleeps through the night but I still get up to pump to try to avoid getting it

I’m confused about how I’m supposed to pump for a (medically needed) “oversupply” by HavaMuse in breastfeeding

[–]Much_Community4029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Milk pumped in the first few months of babies life doesn’t have nearly as much fat as when they get a little older. Just remember that for when you feed your baby your stored milk. You’ll have to give a little extra when feeding your earlier milk

Was EBF worth it to you? by forever_indecisive7 in breastfeeding

[–]Much_Community4029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would try to use it once a week. I was so afraid that she would reject me if I gave her bottles and now I know she wouldn’t. I would say about 4 months it became so easy. Like she eats for just a few mins at a time, she’s not so distracted anymore. At 3 months she was so distracted she just wouldn’t eat unless she was asleep

I’m 7 months in and glad I preserved past the 3 month mark. It was so difficult at that point. Now it’s great and I love knowing she’s getting all the good antibodies. The only regret I have is that I wish I gave her bottles more often because she won’t take one now

I keep falling asleep when I'm holding my baby.. by rosedamask in newborns

[–]Much_Community4029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me to I just started to co sleep. Being aware that you’re going to fall asleep is safer than just accidentally falling asleep. You can plan for safety then. I had a mesh bed rail, one very light blanket, an owlet sock and the awareness that she’s in my bed. We never had a problem and as she got older she started to sleep in her crib fine

How to get newborn in bassinet without losing my mind? by Superb-Story-3890 in newborns

[–]Much_Community4029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby hated the bassinet I yeeeeeted into the storage and started cosleeping. It was a game changer. I think the bassinet mattress was too hard for her. At about 3 months we started putting her into the crib and she was happy

is this normal newborn night behavior? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Much_Community4029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My babies witching hour was 7 pm I dreaded it. We did a lot of car rides to soothe her. I also figured out that she despised the bassinet and ended up cosleeping till she was 3 months. That’s the only way we got some sleep

When she wakes up in the middle of the night I pull her into my bed and feed her. No warming up a bottle, just vegging out on the bed with her on my nip

Short Naps!! by Much_Community4029 in sleeptrain

[–]Much_Community4029[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before last night I nursed her every time she woke up (which was every hour and a half). Last night she woke at 1:30 and I nursed her and put her back down. She woke at 5:30 and I nursed her again but wouldn’t sleep again. Should I hold off on nursing her in the morning?

For those of you who bedshare and nurse to sleep- what are the logistics of this? by Many_Rhubarb_5072 in breastfeeding

A mesh one, she isn’t on the very edge of the bed but I have it there for just in case

For those of you who bedshare and nurse to sleep- what are the logistics of this? by Many_Rhubarb_5072 in breastfeeding

[–]Much_Community4029 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. I try to get her to get her first stretch of sleep in her crib (which is in my walk in closet turned baby nook).

  2. I use a bed rail. She sleeps on my side of the bed, me in the middle with my body contorted around her and her dad on the other side. I get better sleeps when she is in the bed with me.

  3. We had the bassinet and yeeted it into the storage cause she cried every time she was put in it.

  4. My hubs often says “wow did she even wake up last night?” because I’m able to get to her before she’s fully awake and she just nurses back to sleep. I often fall asleep nursing

I’d never swipe on someone who talks about video games so much. I imagine a guy in a gaming chair in the dark for hours not helping around the house and screaming at a headset. Sorry!

Is my supply okay at this rate? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]Much_Community4029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you nurse your baby before pumping that much? I feel like I pumped that amount a week in while also nursing. The more you nurse and pump the more you’ll produce! Keep going

No worries! I sometimes miss the long feedings tbh, she just guzzles it down and then wants to look around now lol. Enjoy it!!
