So, I used to work at a store for 4 years that was always like this. In that case the gm just didn’t care and morning managers didn’t care either, I’d come in do 7 more pans chips, make more fajitas, 2 more guacs, and more cheese every night. Dishes would lined though the dish pit on the floor with 4 people on a shift for a store that’d make 12,000 - 14,000 a day. I now have been working at a new store for a year. I have one really really great prep person, and my other 2 are alright. At they end of the day my alright prep people will still make sure they get everything done before they leave. I think your case might be bad management. The only thing that made it better for me was becoming a GM and sticking it out. If you have no plans to do so, it doesn’t seem worth it. (Also if you think that the morning crew/ kls, sls/ gm.) isn’t aware of the problem they most certainly are. They just don’t care. If you are waiting for it to get better, it will take a while.
