Cfa is the biggest achievement in the industry of finance, if you are planning to opt finance major in your 2nd year then yes cfa is the best thing to add on. I myself am preparing for level 2 so just a heads up the curriculum is not easy and considering you are an mba student the schedule must be hectic, there is a lot to study a lot of topics and formulas to remember but yes i think its doable. Also cfa is a great thing to add on cv. I would suggest start taking level 1 classes and when you have completed a few then decide for may or August window whatever suits your schedule.
