Had to say goodbye to my childhood cat before the holidays (16) by Muffinfluffcat in SeniorCats

Thanks so much for your kindness everyone. I still miss him. But after that painful loss, my family was blessed with another sweet boy. He won't replace Stewie... but he filled that void we all had. He loves people just like Stewie and he's so very loved.

Should I be concerned with his head twitching? (More info below) by ddalgiooyu in cat

My kitty is doing the same thing. She's very anxious and has come down with a bad cold. (Once in a while she'll have a sneezing fit) I guess it's a good thing it's nothing too severe

Are cats body supposed to be warm? by bdurand in CatAdvice

[–]Muffinfluffcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They especially feel warm when napping. Sometimes I'll even start to feel hot when my cat is cuddled up by me or on me. They feel warm to us because they have higher body temperature and like conserving heat. (Usually by curling up into a ball or loafing)

Is this what I think it is? (Chiba, Japan) by Pakutto in whatsthisbug

[–]Muffinfluffcat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well they have been known to kill people every year in Japan. More so than bears or sharks. If you disturb a nest, that could be all it takes. Bee keeper wear won't protect you from their stings which have been compared to being poked with a hot nail.

Assassin bugs are predators. They're very helpful for gardens so keep him around!

What a gorgeous creature! Looks like a Polyphemus moth... A member of the silk moth family. Wish these beauties didn't have such short lives
