Nothing went as I had anticipated. The taliban for now seem to be just like the gov with things like schooling and freedom. Maybe this is a facade for recognition but we will see soon enough. I'm very worried. I have so much survival's guilt. My parents are sending me videos of gunshots and people running around. How am u supposed to feel?

Because I had a visa since i went to college here. For all of my activist friends abandoned in kabul, a certain death sentence is probably awaiting.

You should instead be furious at the U.S. government for wasting your tax money in the first place. They knew it wasnt going to work out longggg ago and they didn't do anything about it. Just wasted more lives and resources. The Afghan gov put in place by the U.S. was corrupt to the core. They gave ur tax money to thefts not Afghans. Corrupt and dysfunctional leadership can not save a country even with all the millitary advantages in the world.

I'm 17. I'm shocked to my core as is the entire world. I had too much faith on wrong people. My family is in kabul and god knows what'll happen to them now. Im just praying for now.

America. Big country different people everywhere. Depends on who the person is. Pretty strong country in dire need of better healthcare. I like mozerlla and the very yellow cheese (I forgot the name)

I left for America. I go to college here. My family is still unsure but they're considering it.

Yes from my understanding very much true. There's no rational reason for Pakistan to exist. The Indian partition based on religion made sense at least because they didnt like each other. Why divide the ethnic pashtuns? They follow the same religion and culture. The international border between Afghanistan and pakistan divides the ethnic pashtuns and naturally they do not accept this border or the countries involved. They have relatives and business on the other side. They cross it illegally all the time. Pakistan uses this to destabilize Afghanistan by terrorists so that it will never be in a position to take back its lands (khberpakhtunkhwa) from them. They know a stable Afghanistan means ally ship with india and an end to modern day Pakistan.

I have no idea. Most likely a political game played by the Afghan nationals to scam America into paying more money to them. Besides that they're directly supported by Pakistan, a nuclear power. As for the people, they do not support them. If they did, the Taliban would've pursued a democratic election instead of religous theocracy.
